The Team:
Canada Supply Chain Planning (SCP) team is responsible for conducting S&OE and S&OP processes across the market. This involves striving for best-in-class Demand Planning, Replenishment Planners, Customer Fulfillment, and Inventory Optimization to balance demand and supply across the operational horizon (approximately next 3 months) and the tactical horizon (next two years).

The Canada SCP Sr. Manager reports directly into the Sr. Director of Supply Chain Planning and oversees two teams:
- Supply Chain Planning
- Demand Planning
- Replenishment Planning
- Customer Fulfillment & Inventory Management
- Allocation & Order Fulfillment
- Inventory Optimization
The role will represent Mattel’s Global Supply Chain in the Canada LT and be the point person contact for the Canada Country Manager.
Mattel is on a journey to become data driven, fueled by analytics, and the head of SCM will spearhead the streamlining efforts which brings Canada in line with global standards.
Also, as Canada is part of the North America region, the Canada SCP Sr. Manager will collaborate with US counterparts to optimize the flow of goods in the region mitigating inventory deficiencies while maximizing fill rates of customers in Canada.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Manage Supply Chain relationships for Mattel Canada with our top customers and suppliers.
- Improve the cost effectiveness and develop the capabilities of Mattel Canada's supply chain to ensure that the organization can meet its strategic growth objectives in the next 2-3 years.
- Liaise with external parties (Customers, Vendors, Industry groups) to represent Mattel Canada in peer-to-peer meetings and joint projects to improve total supply chain costs and efficiency.
- Management of supply chain projects (Identify key steps, timelines, and responsibilities).
- Manage the planning function to ensure that fill rates stay high, and inventory is managed to target.
- Raise the profile and visibility of the planning function and ensure that regular reporting is enhanced, and key issues are rapidly escalated and resolved.
- Enhance reporting and processes in demand planning function, provide management oversight of critical planning issues.
- Conduct process reviews with team members and share best practices across Mattel planning teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- University Degree Required.
- 8+ years of related business experience.
- Experience with contemporary planning platforms required (e.g., Blue Yonder and Anaplan).
- Logistics/Supply Chain Vocational Qualification desired.
- Proven ability to manage both internal and external relationships.
- Strong communicator and ability to influence others.
- Excellent analytical and reasoning ability.
- Proven track record of people leadership and culture builder.
- Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
