Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Global Downstream Marketing is responsible for leading the downstream marketing strategy for the $1.1B Restorative and Prevention business within the dental market. This role will lead a high-performing team to define revenue/margin targets, portfolio budget, go to market strategies, area-centric messaging (product, clinical, and economic), supported by data/analytics to drive the development of focused downstream marketing and targeted execution to expand segment share. This role is accountable for achieving annual financial (revenue and margin) targets for the R&P business.
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
- Define and evolve the long-term global portfolio strategy
- Lead annual portfolio planning process including opportunity assessment, prioritization, and investment allocation
- Oversee lifecycle management to optimize in-market performance, extensions, and rationalizations
- Drive alignment with R&D, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, and Strategy on unmet needs and innovation and business development roadmaps
- Partner with global upstream marketing to define product and technology roadmaps
- Lead global downstream marketing to ensure launch excellence, sales enablement, go-to-market execution and demand generation
- Serve as a strategic partner to Strategy and Corporate Development, providing marketing and portfolio input for M&A and partnership opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to deliver on portfolio growth expectations
- Serve as a senior leader on the R&P leadership team, playing a key role in the long-term success and health of the business
- Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing team and future leaders
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start) an accredited institution and ten (10) years of progressive career growth in downstream marketing and sales roles
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Strong financial acumen in business case development
- Strong problem-solving orientation with ability to leverage both quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive decision-making
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership through to field level representatives
- Deep understanding of the relevant served markets, clinical trends, and healthcare economics
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and vision capabilities
- Ability to thrive in an action-oriented and high accountability environment
- Marketing and/or sales leadership experience in a large med tech/med device company
Work location: Remote
Travel: 30% domestic and international travel required
