Senior Manager – Finance Data & AI Analytics 

Location: Cluj-Napoca, Romania 


Vertiv is building a Finance Data & AI Analytics capability in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. 

This Senior Manager will lead a team of four and own the delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of Finance BI reporting and AI/ML analytics across global and regional Finance stakeholders. 

The role combines team leadership, data product management, and practical AI/ML enablement to simplify reporting, eliminate manual work, and accelerate insight generation across the organisation. 

 

Key Responsibilities 


Leadership & Delivery 

  • Lead and develop a high-performing analytics team based in Cluj-Napoca. 
  • Manage intake, prioritisation, and delivery of BI and analytics initiatives for global Finance partners. 
  • Oversee the delivery of governed data products, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability. 

Data, Reporting & BI 

  • Drive the development and enhancement of finance dashboards, KPIs, and standardised reporting. 
  • Ensure datasets and models adhere to enterprise governance, documentation, and certification standards. 
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions. 
  • Run a structured intake and prioritisation framework with clear SLAs and stakeholder communication. 
  • Standardise KPI definitions and retire conflicting or redundant reporting. 
  • Promote modern development practices, data quality, and performance optimisation. 


AI, ML & Advanced Analytics 

  • Champion the adoption of AI/ML use cases, including forecasting, anomaly detection, and LLM-based automation. 
  • Identify opportunities to replace manual workflows with intelligent automation. 
  • Establish foundations for model development, testing, deployment, and monitoring. 

Governance & Continuous Improvement 

  • Drive governance frameworks to ensure consistency, control, and scalability of analytics solutions. 
  • Continuously improve reporting, data pipelines, and analytics delivery processes. 
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and data-driven decision-making. 

 

Qualifications 

Minimum 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. 
  • 12–16 years of experience in analytics, data platforms, BI, or related fields, including leadership experience. 
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, cloud data platforms, and BI tools. 
  • Demonstrated experience delivering analytics in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. 
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and deliver decision-ready insights. 

Preferred 

  • Experience supporting Finance functions (FP&A, Operations Finance, Commercial Finance). 
  • Practical experience applying AI/ML/LLM techniques to business problems. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders. 

 

Travel Requirements 

10–15%
