Sr. Manager, External Manufacturing - Business Planning
As the Senior Manager for Procurement Business Planning, you will play a crucial role in supporting the North American Zone (U.S. and Canada) External Manufacturing and Innovation procurement leadership team. You will be responsible for enhancing the effectiveness of the function by providing strategic guidance, managing key projects, leading key business routines and driving efficient business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, strategic planning, and project management, with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Support the External Manufacturing and Innovation Procurement leadership team with running the business and key procurement rituals and routines, i.e., staff meetings, monthly business reviews, managing group-wide deliverables, and preparing materials for senior-level meetings.
- Execute portfolio and business planning processes with the External Manufacturing and Innovation Procurement team. Includes acting as a gatekeeper for the sourcing table, reviewing material and team readiness, scheduling packages to be reviewed, and documenting actions from sourcing regularly.
- Act as a liaison between the External Manufacturing and Innovation Leadership Team and buying teams to provide leadership support.
- Lead governance and contract management for the External Manufacturing and Innovation procurement teams. Supporting team reviews, readiness, and compliance for approval processes.
- Analyze the execution of functional initiatives versus the functional business plan.
- Assess the efficiency of External Manufacturing and Innovation procurement processes and routines, provide recommendations to enhance and streamline team effectiveness, including championing key engagement and improvement initiatives within the team, and lead execution of change management across the team.
- Collaborate with other functional business planners across procurement to enhance synergies between the teams, improve collaboration, align communication and appropriate increase standardization in operating models.
- Be the Champion for business deliverables that require cross-team coordination including but not limited to, supplier events, productivity, sourcing plans, strategy sessions, audits, risk management, and others.
- Collect and analyze key metrics and recommend solutions.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents for internal and external stakeholders.
- Organize and coordinate category review meetings, including setting agendas and actions and documenting outcomes.
- Champions our KraftHeinz organizational values and helps drive our procurement vision.
Expected Experience & Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, supply chain management, finance, business, or equivalent. MBA and advanced Procurement qualifications preferred. Candidates with equivalent experience and/or education will be considered.
- At least 5 to 7 years of Procurement experience, with a minimum of 3 years of direct procurement experience.
- Strong Business acumen with the ability to understand and explain Procurement results and variances to non-Procurement audiences.
- Results-oriented, adept at solving complex challenges and dealing with ambiguity; anticipates and adjusts to problems and obstacles in the team or the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven track record of building effective business relationships.
- Proven project management and solid analytical, consultative, and diagnostic skills; able to make sound, data-driven business decisions. Prior experience with business case development and multi-workstream project management is critical to success in this role.
- Self-starter, highly motivated, with strong results orientation, ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional teams, and adapt to changing requirements and environments with limited oversight.
- Strong strategic thinker who considers various perspectives and impacts of issues and can project them into the future.
- Ability to quickly develop organizational agility, e.g., knows how to get things done through formal and informal channels and is an effective delegator.
- Ability to influence and coach without direct accountability, supporting NA External Manufacturing and Innovation Procurement teams in achieving results.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and understanding of source-to-pay tools (SAP, Ariba, Workday, etc.).

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$118,400.00 - $148,000.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
