Head, Enterprise Product Innovation
Location:
Remote, with a requirement to reside within 30 miles of one of the following locations: Portland, ME; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Washington, DC; Dallas, TX; or San Jose, CA.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Innovation & Excellence, you will focus on developing new-to-market digital products and platforms that harness emerging technologies—particularly AI, data science, and automation. You’ll drive product innovation from concept to prototype to MVP, collaborating with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to deliver disruptive solutions at speed and scale.

How You'll Make an Impact:
Strategic Product Innovation:
Define and lead the strategic vision for next-gen enterprise products, aligned to WEX’s broader innovation and growth priorities.
Own a portfolio of early-stage initiatives with a focus on high-value, high-impact opportunities.
Partner with corporate and digital strategy teams to identify whitespace and emerging technology trends.
Tech-Forward Execution:
Champion the use of AI, machine learning, automation, and real-time data in creating scalable, differentiated product experiences.
Guide rapid product discovery and experimentation cycles, turning insights into MVPs with speed and agility.
Inspire and lead a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, and designers in building innovative, customer-centric solutions.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, sales, and go-to-market teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
Act as a connector between the innovation team and WEX leadership—clearly communicating progress, pivots, and performance metrics.
Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, and continuous learning across product and tech teams.
Innovation Operations:
Establish and refine frameworks for product lifecycle management, with clear stage gates and outcome-based milestones.
Track, measure, and report on the performance and ROI of innovation efforts.
Ensure technical feasibility, customer desirability, and business viability in every initiative.

Experience You'll Bring:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, technology, or a related field.
7+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong background in leading digital product innovation from concept through launch.
Fintech industry experience or strong familiarity with B2B financial products.
Technical Acumen:
Deep understanding of data-driven product development, SaaS platforms, and cloud-native technologies.
Hands-on experience working with AI/ML, APIs, analytics platforms, and scalable architecture.
Proven success in applying agile methodologies, rapid prototyping, and test-and-learn strategies.
Leadership & Strategic Thinking:
Visionary leader who can identify long-term opportunities while delivering short-term wins.
Proven ability to influence across functions and at all levels of an organization.
Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a track record of growing top-performing product teams.
Customer & Market Focus:
Adept at uncovering deep customer insights through qualitative and quantitative methods.
Experience applying design thinking and product discovery frameworks to develop elegant, user-centered solutions.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
