Job Description

The Sr. Manager, Distributor & Copacker Growth is responsible for driving business growth, operational excellence, and strategic partner performance across Reddy Ice's third-party distribution and copacker network. This role leads distributor and copacker business planning, performance management, network optimization, and growth initiatives to improve revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction, and market coverage. Success is achieved through strong cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making, executive relationship management, and rigorous partner accountability. Based on Reddy Ice's commitment to being North America's Total Ice Solution, the role serves as a key driver of scalable growth and operational excellence across the external partner network.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Growth & Business Planning

  • Develop and execute annual business plans with distributors and co-packers to support revenue growth, market expansion, customer acquisition, and profitability objectives.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to optimize market coverage, expand network capacity, improve service capabilities, and strengthen strategic partner relationships.
  • Evaluate distributor and co-packer network performance and recommend changes to territories, contracts, operating models, and partner alignment to support long-term business objectives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Business Development teams to execute strategic growth initiatives and support key customer opportunities.

Partner Performance Management

  • Establish, monitor, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) for distributors and co-packers, including service, safety, quality, customer satisfaction, compliance, financial performance, and growth metrics.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with partners to assess performance, identify opportunities and risks, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Drive accountability through performance scorecards, action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational and financial targets.
  • Develop corrective action plans and performance improvement strategies when partner performance falls below expectations.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex operational issues affecting customer service, distribution performance, and network effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify root causes of recurring issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Leverage Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies, including Kaizen, A3 problem solving, and Value Stream Mapping, to improve operational performance and eliminate waste.
  • Support optimization of service coverage, inventory flow, routing efficiency, and overall network effectiveness.

Financial & Contract Management

  • Analyze distributor and co-packer financial performance to ensure long-term viability and alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor partner profitability, pricing execution, cost-to-serve metrics, accounts receivable performance, and overall financial health.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Operations teams to support contract negotiations, annual pricing initiatives, dock and drayage adjustments, and other commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations and business commitments are met by both Reddy Ice and third-party partners.

Relationship Management & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor and co-packer leadership to drive alignment, trust, accountability, and business growth.
  • Influence partner investment decisions and operational priorities to support mutual business objectives.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to partners and internal stakeholders while serving as the voice of the partner network within Reddy Ice.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership regarding partner performance, network risks, growth opportunities, and improvement initiatives.

Compliance, Quality & Risk Management

  • Ensure distributor and co-packer compliance with company policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, safety programs, insurance requirements, and customer service expectations.
  • Conduct operational, financial, safety, and quality audits as needed to assess performance and mitigate risk.
  • Identify and proactively manage operational, financial, service, and compliance risks within the third-party network.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across internal and external partner organizations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, management, supply chain, or similar is prefe1Ted, (MBA also preferred)
  • Demonstrated cross functional interaction with Operations/Sa1es/Finance/Accounting
  • Continuous improvement focused leadership
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing a third-party function
  • Intermediate expertise with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar system preferred

OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES

Requires excellent communication and decision-making skills. Requires advanced business acumen and intermediate experience in finance and accounting.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent travel to plant locations with hazards such as moving equipment, slippery floors, and extreme temperature changes.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and walk through plants/retail locations.
  • Must be willing to travel a minimum of 50% (at times travel is extremely heavy), A valid drivers license and acceptable MVR is required.
  • On-call, evening, and weekend work may be required.
  • Typical office environment, generally sedentary position using computers, calculators, phones, and other office equipment.
  • This position works in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
  • The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships, and reason through complex business situations is essential
