Summary of the Job:
This leader brings deep expertise in FNBO's Credit Policy and serves as a subject matter authority for the Analyst team while fostering a culture of continuous development and operational excellence.
About This Role:
- Lead, mentor, and develop Credit Analysts across all experience levels, building individual capability and overall team effectiveness
- Drive a culture of accountability, professional growth, and high performance
- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
- Oversee credit analysis and underwriting for commercial, agricultural, and CRE transactions
- Review and validate credit analysis work to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency with FNBO credit standards
- Manage team workflow to deliver timely, well-supported credit recommendations
- Maintain comprehensive, current knowledge of credit policies and risk assessment standards
- Assist with development and lead implementation of departmental goals, standards, and performance benchmarks
- Design, adapt, and implement procedures that enforce commercial credit process improvements and drive operational efficiency
- Build and maintain strong relationships with leadership across Credit Risk Administration, the Business Lending Segment, and other related divisions.
- Serve as a collaborative partner in supporting lending objectives and aligning credit analysis capabilities with business needs
- Ensure team adherence to bank policies, laws, regulations, and FNBO's BSA/AML Program
- Maintain a strong compliance posture across all underwriting activities; report known or suspected violations and suspicious activity as required

- Travel required approximately 20% of the time to Kansas City market
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- MBA Preferred
Experience
- Demonstrated leadership or management experience
- 5+ years of experience in commercial, agricultural, CRE, and/or consumer credit analysis, with demonstrated progression in responsibility
- Prior experience in community or regional banking
- Familiarity with loan origination and credit spreading platforms
- Track record of working across business lines to support lending goals
Compensation:
Compensation range (base pay): $83,355.00-$141,704.00
This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
