SUMMARY:
As a Senior Continuous Improvement Manger at McCain, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and sustainable growth within the NA Supply Chain organization (Contextually, McCain's NA Supply Chain represents a significant investment, with a spend of >$450M dedicated to operating 30 warehouses and facilitating the delivery of our delectable frozen products to over 1400 customer locations). Leveraging your extensive experience in CI methodologies and leadership skills, you will champion the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing processes such as such as Demand Forecasting and Planning, Inventory Management, Order Fulfilment, Transportation, Warehousing, and Quality. Collaborating closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will identify opportunities for large scale improvement, develop actionable plans, and drive continuous progress towards organizational goals. Your expertise in change management, data analysis, and performance metrics will be instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supply Chain Continuous Improvement - Center of Excellence

  • Lead the development and launch of a Continuous Improvement Center of Excellence within the NA Supply Chain organization (Logistics, Planning and Order Fulfilment).
  • Establish standards, methodologies, and tools to support CI initiatives across the organization. Maximize collaboration and find synergies with the McCain Driving Impact program (MDI).
  • Collaborate with other departments and industry experts to stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to disseminate successful practices across the organization.


2. Sustainable Competitive Advantage (SCA)

  • Oversee the North American Supply Chain SCA program to build a robust portfolio of cost savings initiatives that will deliver >$20M of cost savings annually.
  • Hold team accountable to timely and accurate tracking / reporting of value realization.


3. Program Management

  • Be able to lead large scale, complex, and cross functional improvement programs ($3MM+ total value + >4 Month Execution timing) and participate in cross-functional teams supporting supply chain process improvement projects.
  • Holding others accountable in order to maintain project scope and timelines.
  • The ability to listen to input and feedback from stakeholders, while managing scope creep and filtering out non-relevant information.


4. Leadership

  • Communicate regularly with senior leaders to understand organizational needs and challenges, and present compelling business cases for continuous improvement initiatives that demonstrate clear ROI and strategic alignment.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to both the direct report, as well as CI initiative team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and provide support as needed to ensure successful execution of responsibilities.


5. Process Optimization

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements throughout the organization.
  • Implement change management methodologies to ensure smooth transitions and sustained improvements.


6. Data- Driven Decision Making

  • Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to drive decision-making processes and measure the impact of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain a robust system for monitoring and reporting on key improvement metrics.


Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Systems or Engineering. MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years Supply Chain experience with 3+ years of experience driving sizable Continuous Improvement Projects or Transformation Programs. CPG Experience is a plus
  • Extensive experience in applying recognized CI methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, GEMBA, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and/or other appropriate process improvement tools and methodologies) .
  • Lean Six Sigma certification and Project Management Professional designation a bonus.
  • Results focused. Bias towards action, able to analyze multiple pieces of information and act decisively.
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Understand sources of information and is able to procure information effectively.
  • Tact and diplomacy - ensure professionalism when dealing with internal customers and outside vendors - ability to build strong relationships.
  • Self-motivated with leadership skills and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent problem solving, organization and planning skills.
  • Strong preference for Working knowledge and proficiency with SAP IBP, E2Open TMS (formerly BluJay) and PowerBI
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
