Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. What you will be doing:

The Senior Manager, Consumer Insights – Operations (CI Ops) is responsible for enabling the effective, efficient, and consistent execution of the Consumer Insights function. This role focuses on insight operations, governance, tools, vendors, processes, and data infrastructure that support high‑quality insight delivery across brands, categories, and regions. The role partners closely with Consumer Insights leaders, research vendors, Analytics, Procurement, and Finance to ensure insight work is scalable, compliant, cost‑effective, and aligned to enterprise standards. This position plays a critical role in improving operational effectiveness while allowing Consumer Insights partners to focus on strategic insight generation.

Additionally, the role will report to the Senior Director, Enterprise & Global Consumer Insights – working closely together to execute primary consumer research and fill gaps across the whole Helen of Troy portfolio – at both the enterprise and brand support level. This includes a mix of brands across both divisions: Home & Outdoor (OXO, Osprey, Hydro Flask) and Beauty & Wellness (Drybar, Hot Tools, PUR, etc.) The Senior Manager of Ops will be responsible for learning these categories and consumer types – in order to understand stakeholder research needs.

**This is a hybrid role between insights operations and research execution – requiring the ability to pivot based on current business needs**

  • Own and manage Consumer Insights operational processes, including research workflows, governance, tools, templates, and standards that support consistent and high‑quality insight delivery.

  • Design and execute consumer research using appropriate qualitative and quantitative methodologies, ensuring rigor, relevance, and alignment with enterprise insight frameworks and standards.

  • Manage CI vendor and platform operations, including onboarding, scope management, performance monitoring, and issue resolution, to ensure quality, speed, and cost effectiveness.

  • Support financial and governance discipline for CI activities, partnering with Finance, Procurement, and Legal to enable compliant budgeting, contracting, and spend management.

  • Improve operational efficiency and scalability by identifying process gaps, redundancies, or friction points and implementing practical, sustainable improvements.

  • Enable Consumer Insights teams through tools and standards, ensuring CI partners can focus on insight generation rather than operational complexity.

  • Coordinate CI operational needs with Analytics, Data, and Technology teams, supporting data standards, platform integration, and insight accessibility where applicable.

  • Ensure adherence to enterprise CI frameworks and best practices, reinforcing consistency across brands, categories, and regions.

  • Determines CI operational processes and workflows, including governance, tools, templates, and standards that support consistent insight delivery.

  • Decides how CI tools, platforms, and vendors are utilized to balance quality, speed, scalability, and cost effectiveness.

  • Prioritizes operational improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, consistency, and compliance across Consumer Insights activities.

  • Recommends changes to CI vendor strategy, tooling, or processes to improve performance and reduce complexity.

  • Determines how insight operations align with enterprise requirements, including financial processes, procurement, compliance, and data management.

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Ability to design and improve operational frameworks, tools, and standards that enable scalable and efficient CI execution.

  • Experience managing external research vendors and platforms, including contracting, performance management, and quality oversight.

  • Strong analytical and process‑thinking skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement pragmatic improvements.

  • Effective collaboration and communication skills, enabling productive partnership with CI teams, Analytics, Finance, Procurement, and IT.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple operational initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and consistency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field).

  • 7+ years of experience in Consumer Insights, Market Research Operations, Analytics Operations, or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience managing insight operations, including vendors, tools, processes, and governance.

  • Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

  • Experience partnering cross‑functionally with Finance, Procurement, Legal, Analytics, and CI stakeholders

  • Strong knowledge of consumer insights operations, including research workflows, vendor management, governance models, and insight delivery processes.

  • Vendor-side and Moderation experience.

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience supporting Consumer Insights within a Center of Excellence or enterprise model

  • Familiarity with major research platforms, syndicated data providers, and insight management tools

  • Experience improving operational efficiency through standardization, automation, or tooling upgrades

  • Exposure to global or multi‑market research operations

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance rigor and pragmatism Familiarity with innovation pipelines and go to market decision processes

In Massachusetts and New Jersey, the standard base pay range for this role is $111,000 - 140,000 annually. This base pay range is specific to Massachusetts and New Jersey and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance.

The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
