The Impact of a Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence to Coupa:
 
As a Sr. Manager of Competitive Intelligence at Coupa, you will play a critical role in driving the company’s growth by leading strategic market analysis initiatives that directly influence our competitive positioning and growth strategy. This role combines analytical and story-telling skills that translate competitive insights into actionable strategies for sales, product and marketing leadership. By closely collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging data-driven insights, you will help align our competitive positioning with customer needs, increase revenue, and strengthen Coupa’s position as a leader in total spend management

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and enhance a comprehensive competitive intelligence framework to monitor market trends, competitive activities and other industry disruptions to identify strategic opportunities, potential threats and market gaps.
  • Leverage an understanding of key personas, use cases, and value drivers for Coupa products to drive our integrated marketing strategy with clear, concise competitive positioning and messaging.
  • Partner closely with our Global Sales and Customer Success teams to gather intelligence and implement enablement strategies.
  • Directly influence our product roadmap and vision by sharing competitive insights with Product Management leadership.
  • Evangelize the Coupa story by delivering compelling presentations at live and virtual events for internal and external audiences
  • Identify ideal customers and opportunities for references, win stories and competitive feedback

What you will bring to Coupa:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B competitive intelligence including proven success in driving competitive messaging, positioning and sales enablement
  • Ability to gather intelligence from research and data, present findings and decisions, influence stakeholders, and execute independently on initiatives
  • Ability to work across organizational lines, command respect, and influence without authority
  • Must be able to switch regularly and rapidly between strategy and execution
  • Comfort and experience in presenting to diverse audiences, from small groups to large events, with the ability to engage, persuade, and communicate Coupa’s competitive differentiators effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Preferences:
  • MBA a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, Tableau, Clozd, Crayon, Highspot
  • Experience with Procurement or Finance SaaS solutions

The estimated pay range for this role is $126,650 - $171,000

The starting salary for the successful candidate will be based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
