Responsibilities: Assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive Commercial Data Acquisition & Governance framework aligned with organizational objectives. Subject matter expert and hands-on contributor for governance and acquisition activities, including documentation, profiling, and compliance. Drive organizational adoption of data governance and acquisition practices through training, communication, and change management. Identify, evaluate, and onboard external data sources to support commercial analytics and operations. Assist with the negotiation and management of vendor contracts and third-party data agreements, ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements. Monitor data acquisitions and ensure the data are being used by the business. Define and enforce data management standards, policies, and best practices across the data lifecycle. Document data assets, business glossaries, and lineage, ensuring accuracy and consistency.Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and manage data-related third-party agreements. Lead evaluation, selection, and deployment of data governance platforms (e.g., Data Catalog, Data Quality tools). Partner with IT and vendors to optimize system capabilities and ensure continuous improvement. Recommend KPIs and metrics to monitor data quality, governance effectiveness, and acquisition performance. Act as a liaison between Commercial Operations, Analytics, IT, and external partners. Provide reporting on data acquisition and governance initiatives, risks, and performance metrics. Position may work remotely.
Salary: $180,000-$185,000
QualificationsRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Analytics or related field and seven years of experience managing governance and sourcing programs. Experience must include seven years each of the following: platforms such as Informatica, IBM Inosphere, Alation, or similar tool; SQL, Snowflake/Redshift, Data Warehousing, and MDM; and drafting and enforcing data standards and policies. Experience must include five years negotiating data vendor agreements; and data governance and acquisition within a commercial organization. Experience may be gained concurrently. Position may work remotely.
