Position Overview: The Central Build Operations team supports new facility builds, startup deployments, operational recoveries, stabilizations, and large-scale performance improvement initiatives across the United States. This role serves as the functional subject matter expert for inbound operations and provides hands-on support to site leadership teams during launches and recovery engagements.
Location: This is a remote role, with travel expectations up to 80% of the time
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, with occasional nights and weekends as needed to support operations and launches.
Travel Specifics: 80%, Weekly
Competitive Total Rewards: Competitive salary of $125,000 - $135,000, plus bonus, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, sick time, and company holidays. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead startup readiness, go-live support, and stabilization activities for new facility launches and customer implementations, ensuring inbound processes, staffing, training, and operational standards are in place to support a successful transition to steady-state operations.
- Deploy to underperforming operations to assess performance gaps and implement recovery plans, partnering with site leadership to identify root causes, execute corrective actions, and restore productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and service performance.
- Provide warehouse-floor leadership, coaching, and operational guidance to operations leaders, managers, and supervisors, serving as the inbound subject matter expert and reinforcing best practices, accountability, and execution excellence.
- Drive standardization, process compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives by promoting consistent execution of network operating procedures, customer requirements, and operational standards while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, IT, Learning, Safety, and Project teams to support startups, process implementations, customer transitions, and operational improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment across functional stakeholders.
- Analyze operational metrics and identify sustainable improvement opportunities through data-driven assessments, action planning, and performance monitoring to improve labor productivity, throughput, inventory control, service levels, and overall operational results.

- 7+ years of warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics, operations experience.
- 7+ years of previous experience supporting E-Commerce facilities
- 3+ years leading large operational teams.
- Experience supporting launches, transformations, or operational recoveries.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Experience in highly standardized, metrics-driven fulfillment environments.
- Former leadership experience within large-scale fulfillment networks is highly desirable.
- Deep expertise in receiving, stow, inventory control, replenishment, and dock operations.
- Travel up to 80%. Candidates should expect extensive domestic travel and extended periods on-site supporting startup deployments, recovery projects, leadership coaching, and operational improvement initiatives. The majority of working time will be spent engaged directly on warehouse floors.
