Job Summary

Role Purpose
The Senior Manager, Business Operations (Systems & Insights) is a strategic, results-oriented operational leader responsible for driving cross-functional initiatives that improve efficiency, scale, and business performance across Candescent. This role translates strategic objectives into actionable operational plans, optimizes systems and workflows, and enables data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate excels in fast-paced, high-growth environments, thrives on solving complex problems, and champions continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Partner with executive leadership to define, operationalize, and track strategic initiatives.
  • Translate organizational goals into clear operational plans, timelines, and measurable KPIs.

Operational Excellence

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and lead process improvements across departments.
  • Drive business process reengineering and lead enterprise-wide change management initiatives.
  • Implement scalable systems, workflows, and best practices to support organizational growth.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product, HR, Professional Services, and Product Engineering to align operations with business needs.
  • Serve as a key liaison between executive leadership and operational teams to ensure clarity, alignment, and execution.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Build dashboards, reporting frameworks, and performance insights to support leadership decision-making.
  • Analyze business trends and recommend actions to improve profitability, efficiency, and team performance.

Team Leadership

  • Manage, coach, and develop business analysts and operations specialists.
  • Foster a culture centered on accountability, innovation, automation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience across business operations, corporate strategy, or management consulting.
  • Experience working within SaaS environments (FinTech preferred).
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable business impact.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; proficiency with Excel, SQL, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience operating in a scaling, high-growth, or technology-led organization.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Distinctions

  • Experience with Ironclad, NetSuite, and Salesforce; understanding of system interconnectivity.
  • Experience in fintech, SaaS, or high-growth B2B or B2B2C environments.
  • Background in automation, process design, or operational systems optimization.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional transformation initiatives.
