The Senior Logistics Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving workforce capability, operational excellence, and resilient logistics performance at the Ecolab Buenos Aires site. Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Talent Strategy

  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and talent planning for the local logistics organization.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines and talent pooling strategies to ensure continuity and future capability.
  • Coach, engage, and develop team members to build a high‑performing, inclusive, and resilient workforce.
  • Drive local team engagement initiatives aligned with global people strategies, including quarterly developmental and team-building activities across the supply chain team.
  • Create opportunities for logistics teams to connect across functions, understand one another’s work, and share knowledge through forums such as town halls, lunch and learns, and similar activities.
  • Establish a routine with logistics leaders to review talent, identify high-performing team members, and align development actions that build future capability.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute operational improvements using data, KPIs, and structured problem-solving, coaching individuals to understand performance gaps and take action.
  • Take ownership of onsite technical, operational, and people-related issues impacting logistics performance, resolving them locally when appropriate and escalating clearly when additional support is required.
  • Drive the local organization toward timely action and sustained results rather than relying primarily on coordination or escalation to off-site leaders.
  • Promote standard work, best practices, and operational discipline.

Site Performance & Resiliency

  • Develop and maintain resiliency and contingency plans to mitigate risk and ensure business continuity.
  • Navigate competing priorities and ambiguity while determining when to act locally and when to involve regional or global leaders; partner with stakeholders to align local execution with broader supply chain strategies.

Collaboration & Global Connectivity

  • Build credibility and trusted relationships across the Buenos Aires logistics and supply chain organization and with key stakeholders outside Buenos Aires.
  • Drive alignment across a highly matrixed organization, building commitment and accountability among teams and stakeholders without direct reporting authority
  • Maintain strong informal reporting and collaboration relationships with North American and International Markets.
  • Share insights, best practices, and lessons learned across regions.
  • Act as a key site representative in cross‑regional initiatives and projects.

Community & Stakeholder Impact

  • Support community impact initiatives and local engagement aligned with company values.
  • Represent the logistics function in site‑level discussions and broader stakeholder engagements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience, managing teams or leading functional initiatives.
  • Strong Supply Chain or Logistics background in an operational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent development, talent planning, team engagement, team building, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity in a matrixed environment.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (MBA, master’s in supply chain, operations, or leadership).
  • Experience working in multinational or matrixed organizations.
  • Exposure to site resiliency planning and operational risk management.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
