To support our extraordinary team who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr. Liquid Cooling Engineer located in Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Director, Operations Engineering the Sr. Liquid Cooling Engineer will apply expert insights to the design and implementation of advanced liquid cooling systems, ensuring the highest standards of performance and efficiency in thermal management. This role requires a strong understanding of cooling technologies, collaborative problem-solving skills, and the ability to innovate within the rapidly evolving landscape of thermal management solutions.
What a typical day looks like:
- Develop and design efficient liquid cooling systems for various applications.
- Implement thermal management strategies to optimize performance.
- Conduct analysis of thermal data and system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cooling solutions.
- Hold up the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs)
- Monitor system performance and apply improvements as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Test and evaluate cooling systems to ensure reliability and effectiveness.
- Support the development of project specifications and scope.
- Create documentation for design processes, best practices and system specifications.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cooling technologies and trends.
- Design, execute, and analyze experimental setups to validate thermal models and cooling system performance.
- Coaching and mentoring engineering and sites on liquid cooling technologies and its implementation
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering.
- System Integration processes and Liquid Cooling infrastructure
- Strong customer and Program management experience with Tier 1 OEMs
- Experience in NPI, New Product launch, automation, and process management
- SMT, Fixture Designs, Assembly & Test, Backend Processes, Testing and Equipment Engineering
- Manufacturing supporting NPI and Product Transfers
- Exhibits strong leadership abilities to guide and mentor team members effectively
- Typically requires a minimum of 6 -8 years of experience modelling liquid cooling or equivalent
- Server architecture
- Data Center Cooling Systems, DFMEA and DFM. preferred
- CDF modelling liquid cooling. preferred
- High-density liquid cooling (HDLC) system design preferred
