Position Summary

We have an immediate opening for a Sr Learning Designer. This person will utilize instructional design expertise to analyze, design, and develop complex learning solutions, material and resources used by Sales professionals. Types of deliverables may include e-learning/self-paced learning solutions, multimedia, materials for instructor-led training, and job aids. Position may focus on design and/or development depending on organizational needs using sound writing, communication and instructional design principles and strategies.   

Will be required to lead and or contribute to the development of short and long-term organizational strategies and initiatives. efforts and be accountable for large learning projects that are mission critical to the success of the sales organization.

Must live near a major airport - preferably in one of these states: TX, NC, SC, FL, MA, CT, IL

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

  • Work cross-functionally and develop a trusting partnership with stakeholders, SMEs, and other cross-functional teams across the sales and talent development organizations.

  • Manage all aspects of the training development cycle including needs analysis, design, implementation, review, and updates to create best-in-class sales enablement training strategy (inclusive of coaching and mentoring).

  • Develop a project plan, project schedule, and milestone dates. Manage work through the project lifecycle. Typically takes on project manager role or co-leads a project.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the sales organization, including (but not limited to) key functions, sales frameworks, processes, and tools.

  • Design and recommend measurement tools for specific solutions and for broader use across our organization. May participate in development of organizational measurement practices and tools. Monitor feedback evaluate impact and effectiveness of solutions and communicate results and recommendations to business partners.

  • Conducts train the trainer sessions for facilitators.

  • Writes scripts for video and audio content.

  • 20% travel

Qualifications

  • Experience designing adult education and training for a sales audience.

  • Exceptional project management skills, including, but not limited to instructional design and development projects with the ability to simultaneously design, develop, and iterate on multiple projects while maintaining high standards of quality.

  • Excellent consultative and communication skills with ability to collaborate as part of a team both virtually and in-person.

  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS).

  • Proficiency with authoring tools, such as Articulate 360 and Captivate.

  • Proficiency with video and audio editing tools, such as Camtasia.

  • Experience with sales process and sales methodologies.

  • Experience working as a learning content designer collaborating with Subject matter experts and other resources to deliver effective content.

Preferred:

  • Advanced knowledge of contemporary methods of adult learning such as microlearning, social learning, and gamification within a corporate training environment.

  • Experience with design platforms such as InDesign. 

Education/Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in Learning & Development

  • 7+ years of experience in instructional design and creating technical learning

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Sales experience

  • Sales marketing experience

  • Knowledge of Automotive industry and basic dealership operations

Salary Range = $74,000 - $87,000 + Bonus
