As a Senior Lean Operations Manager, you will lead enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives and embed Lean principles across IDEXX through the IDEXX Excellence System. In this role:

• You will develop, implement, and sustain Lean transformation strategies aligned with the IDEXX Excellence System.

• You will conduct value stream mapping to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.

• You will establish and monitor KPIs to measure the success of continuous improvement initiatives.

• You will collaborate with leadership to prioritize opportunities and allocate resources effectively.

• You will lead, manage, and develop a team of Lean leaders, including managers and supervisors.

• You will manage escalated and critical issues and drive resolution across operations.

• You will coach and develop employees, supporting performance management and growth.

• You will contribute to organizational strategy and Operational Excellence direction.

• You will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver improvement initiatives.

• You will leverage data, metrics, and system tools to improve efficiency and customer experience.

• You will identify risks, challenges, and opportunities and proactively implement solutions.

• You will prepare reports, analyses, and presentations for senior leadership.

• You will lead and participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives and projects.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred

• 7+ years of leadership experience with strong people management capabilities

• Proven expertise in Lean methodologies and operating system deployment

• Demonstrated success implementing Lean principles and delivering measurable results

• Experience with value stream mapping, process improvement, and KPI management

• Strong project management and change management skills

• Experience with ERP systems and process mapping tools

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Primarily a general office environment with standard noise levels

• Extensive sitting, standing, and computer use

• Occasional physical activity including reaching, bending, or lifting up to 50 pounds

• Travel required to support enterprise initiatives

• Some exposure to industrial environments may require proper PPE
