The Need
For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Sr. Lead, Training & Development.
The Sr. Lead, Training & Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training and development programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of staff globally. This role will ensure that training initiatives are aligned with the organization's strategic goals and support a culture of continuous learning and development. The Sr. Lead will work closely with the Vice President of Talent Pipeline and Development and with business leaders to identify training needs and development programs that drive employee engagement, retention, and overall organizational effectiveness.
This position is based remotely in the US. It reports to the VP, Talent Pipeline & Development and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.
Responsibilities:
Training Program Development and Management

Design and implement comprehensive training programs, including onboarding, technical skills, leadership development, and compliance training.

Conduct training needs assessment to identify gaps and prioritize training initiatives.

Design and deliver engaging and effective training materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, seminars, and instructional guides.

Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop specialized content.

Develop and maintain training policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and quality across all training initiatives.

Monitor training compliance and participation.
Global Training Initiatives

Coordinate consistent global training programs while accommodating regional needs.

Develop and maintain a global training calendar.

Oversee deployment of training technologies for remote and virtual learning.

Promote a culture of continuous learning and encourage employee participation.
Leadership and Employee Development
-
Design and implement leadership development programs.

Develop succession planning initiatives.

Collaborate on individual development plans aligning with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, education, or a related field.
-
Minimum of five years of experience in training and development.

Proven experience in designing and implementing global training programs.

Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.

Minimum of 2-3 years of global experience.
-
Professional certification (CPTD, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
