Job Summary:
The Senior Java Developer (18166) will design, develop, and maintain advanced software systems, ensuring adherence to high standards of code quality, testing, and automation. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable enterprise solutions, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipeline management and cloud infrastructure deployment.

This role also focuses on deep technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and driving systemic improvements across Kafka clients, producers/consumers, stream processing, schemas, and platform integrations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance applications and system architectures.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business goals.

• Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation, cloud deployment, and monitoring.

• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best development practices.

• Participate in testing processes, including unit, integration, regression, and load testing.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues in production environments.

• Perform as the highest escalation point for critical production issues impacting Kafka applications, ensuring rapid restoration and safe mitigation (mandatory).
• Lead end-to-end incident response: triage, containment, rollback/feature flags, communication, post-incident reviews, and corrective actions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 7+ years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

• Proven ability in system design, software architecture, and enterprise application development.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Role-specific Requirements:

• Domain experience in Retail, Supply Chain, and Supply Chain Outbound Transportation.

• Hands-on experience in cloud environments (AWS preferred).

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Github CI/CD, Terraform) and containerization (Kubernetes, Lambda).
