What can you expect?

IT Sr Software Engineer - SAP ABAP, reports directly to Sr Manager-SAP Development, is responsible for SAP ABAP development. This person works with the business analysts and functional team to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions and acts as an expert ABAP technical resource for designing and developing SAP RICEFWs. The successful candidate will be part of a global team of internal and external IT consultants to support the business team coveted for automation and SAP‘s new user experience.

Requires strong ABAP programming skills, team player qualities, and a strong self-starter who can deliver consistently at a high-quality level. Strong business communications skills are a must.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Design, develop, improve, test, and support ERP applications using core ABAP and ABAP on HANA.
  • Collaborate with SAP ABAP, Fiori, and other architects in technical services organization to deliver customer requirements. 
  • Partner with functional and business teams for requirement gathering, designing, building, and testing requirements.
  • Perform and support POCs and feasibility studies on emerging technology tools and products.
  • Review code developed by implementation partner developers and provide feedback to ensure quality deliverables
  • Lead the identification of assets that can be re-used to drive consistency and cost containment.

Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

  • Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology, or a technology-related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in ABAP or S/4HANA
  • Strong hands-on experience in developing and troubleshooting forms, reports, interfaces, and enhancements using ABAP, OData services, and CDS views.
  • Good experience in ABAP 7.5 Syntax and OOABAP
  • Minimum of two full SAP life cycle implementation experience, preferably in the Finance, Purchasing, and Manufacturing modules.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile software development methodologies
  • Exposure to RAP, SAP Cloud, and BTP integration platforms will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments in parallel.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal, written presentation, and listening.
