PTC is currently seeking a bright, enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Information Technology Project Manager to join the Central Project Management Office and provide best-in-class, project management services across a diverse set of initiatives that will support PTC’s growth.

Your Day-To-Day

Position Overview: A Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet all scope, timeline, and budget requirements. This role involves managing multiple larger-scale projects that require strategic planning and stakeholder management.

Your areas of responsibility will be as follows:

  • Works with Senior leadership to define project strategy and ensure strategy can be translated into execution plans.
  • Lead, manage and organize cross-functional teams to frame project execution from scoping and planning through successful project completion.
  • Apply tools, templates, and multiple best practice methodologies to support agile approaches to project execution and oversight.
  • Demonstrate sound decision making through data driven project status reports and dashboards
  • Build effective teams by establishing clear project goals, well-defined roles, open communication, and an overall positive atmosphere
  • Builds & assembles the appropriate participants to complete the assigned project according to plan, budget, quality and business value achievement. Performs resource capacity planning and resource leveling for initiatives within span of control.
  • Collaborates with the project team to identify and assess project risks, issues and dependencies, establishes risk and issue management strategies and escalates them as necessary.
  • Supports the efforts of the project team by clearing obstacles and impediments to achieving successful business outcomes.
  • Provides guidance on project management processes, industry best practices and innovation within the project teams.
  • Creates, manages, and updates execution and value roadmaps throughout project lifecycle to regularly measure the benefits gained by the project.

 Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong project management skills and experience managing in a matrixed environment across multiple and diverse groups.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to present project status and health to C-level executives and senior management.
  • Excellent written and oral / presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact, influence, manage and negotiate effectively at all levels including peers through senior level management.
  • Strong problem solving and time management abilities.
  • Critical thinker with good judgment and initiative.
  • Action oriented with a sense of urgency and committed to driving quality results
  • Able to effectively deal with, and manage ambiguity

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7-12 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Experienced with large enterprise implementation.
  • Knowledge/experience of Project Management (PMBOK) methodology
  • Knowledge/experience of basic Agile and Scrum frameworks
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and software development lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in project management software (e.g. Smartsheet, JIRA/Codebeamer)
  • Preference for Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe, PMI CAPM, PMI PMP, or PMI-ACP
  • Knowledge/experience of Change Management frameworks
  • PMP certification (optional)
