Position Summary:

The Business Systems Analyst position will be a part of the GIS Application Platform Services team providing management and support of tools/services to users across all of Illumina. The role's responsibilities include the administration and support of various collaboration platforms and custom applications used for day-to-day activities.  The area of focus is both functional and technical which will include business process analysis, application configuration, application integrations, end user support, and solving complex technical problems.

Responsibilities:

Manage and Support both SAAS and Custom applications to maintain high availability application services to provide users with the tools and data needed to do their jobs effectively.

  • Manage and Support Internal Ticket Escalations
  • General to Complex technology support including troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day issues, and root cause analysis of sustaining issues
  • Independently debug and resolve complex application issues and problems
  • Monitor and assist in managing open user forums
  • Provide application best practice guidance to end users
  • Manage Application Functionality Updates, Integrations, Configurations, Releases and Security Settings
  • Onboard/Offboard user licenses for select applications
  • Work on sustaining issues, enhancements, and projects
  • Develop, update, and implement policies and procedures to maintain best practices across the team's portfolio
  • Partner with IT resources in the overall strategy, design, operation, and continual improvement of applications services

Requirements:

Typically has 3-6 years of experience with strong technical and functional experience in hands on application support, administration, configurations, integration, enhancements, and project work.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, global, corporate environment including the ability to manage expectations and facilitate prioritization efforts
  • Eagerness to learn new technology and processes
  • Working knowledge of Customer Support processes in a global organization 
  • Ability to analyze both technical and data problems then propose solutions 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong collaboration skills within a global workforce 
  • Ability to interface well with cross-functional teammates
  • Strong technical experience in hands on application administration and configuration of both on premise and cloud delivered services
  • Prior experience and administration with Collaboration Tools such as Asana, Drupal, LucidChart, Quickbase, UiPath etc
  • Database experience with the following platforms SQL Server, Mongo, HANA, and MySQL a plus
  • Prior experience and knowledge of the O365 suite including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, Azure, etc a plus
  • API and scripting experience a plus
  • Ability to interface well with cross-functional teammates
  • Change control experience in an FDA regulated environment
