Posting Summary

Prepare investment portfolio and private investment analysis, including risk decomposition, guideline compliance, and portfolio optimization for an institutional investment portfolio of equities, fixed income, and alternatives including private equity, private credit, and hedge funds. The position has broad exposure to the workings of an institutional investment office. Finance or related degree with five years of directly related experience in an endowment/foundation or related environment. Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets and strong working knowledge of portfolio optimization, investment management databases is required. A commitment to humility, excellence, integrity, collaboration, and desire to work for a mission-driven non-profit organization is integral to the role.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Conduct extensive data gathering, documentation, and reporting on the private investment holdings, including private equity, private credit, and hedge funds.
  • Prepare private investment analysis at a portfolio and fund level, including liquidity, exposures, benchmark comparisons (including peers), and related guideline analysis.
  • Provide constituents relevant, accurate and consistent performance information for investment oversight.
  • Prepare portfolio exposures and risk decomposition for the monitoring and management of the various investment portfolios.
  • Research, prepare, and write research pieces (with senior team member guidance) on key areas of portfolio diligence, important market trends, and other topics critical to portfolio management.
  • Monitor and prepare portfolio guideline compliance analysis.
  • Participate in manager searches by preparing quantitative and qualitative analyses of prospective managers.
  • Conduct portfolio optimization and stochastic modeling using asset allocation parameters.
  • Prepare special analysis, ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned. SRC reserves the right to revise or change job duties as business requirement dictate.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree with five years of directly related experience. Bachelor’s degree should be finance, accounting, business, economics or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The experience should be in an institutional investment office such as an endowment, foundation, or pension plan.
  • Strong background in investment analysis, portfolio analysis, and performance measurement methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Zephyr/PSN, Evest, Wilshire Compass or other portfolio optimization software
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative skills, and ability to synthesize large amounts of data and summarize complex sets of financial information.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Commitment to integrity and desire to work for a mission-driven non-profit organization
  • Ability to think critically, relentless life-long learner, sense of intellectual curiosity, humor, and humility

Skills Required
