Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead and execute Business-to-Business (B2B) connectivity migrations and integration modernization initiatives supporting Wealth & Investment Management Technology (WIMT) Data Center Exit and Next Generation Data Center programs.
This role will partner closely with application teams, infrastructure engineering, security, vendor management, and external business partners to assess, design, migrate, validate, and operationalize critical B2B integrations. Responsibilities span vendor connectivity, managed file transfer, APIs, messaging, application onboarding, and migration execution across on-premises and cloud-hosted environments.
The Senior Integration Engineer will evaluate existing integration architectures, develop future-state migration strategies, establish repeatable engineering patterns, and drive large-scale migration efforts involving vendor connectivity platforms, file transfer services, messaging technologies, and API gateways. The candidate should possess strong technical leadership skills, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and a passion for automation, modernization, and operational excellence.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the assessment, design, planning, and execution of B2B connectivity and integration migrations supporting strategic WIMT initiatives.
- Partner with application owners, vendors, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations teams to develop migration strategies and implementation plans.
- Design and implement integration solutions utilizing managed file transfer, APIs, messaging platforms, and secure connectivity services.
- Lead migration delivery through the Wells Fargo change management lifecycle
- Support migration workstreams involving Vendor connectivity modernization, Managed File Transfer (MFT), Connect:Direct (NDM), Axway Secure Transport and API Gateway platforms including Apigee
- Develop repeatable migration patterns, onboarding guides, engineering standards, and operational runbooks.
- Coordinate application validation activities before and after migration events.
- Troubleshoot complex integration, connectivity, file transfer, and messaging issues during migration activities.
- Drive automation opportunities that improve migration efficiency, onboarding velocity, and operational supportability.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across integration and migration initiatives.
- 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of Network Engineering experience, or B2B Connectivity and Integration Engineering - 5+ years of experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutions for large enterprise environment.
- 5+ years of experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF and Static) in a large enterprise environment
- 5+ years of experience with configuration of routing and switching latest platforms and solutions - Cisco Nexus and/or Arista product line.
- 5+ years supporting enterprise application integrations in large-scale environments
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, reliability, and operational support practices
- Awareness of responsible AI usage, including security, validation, and accuracy considerations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Prior experience in financial services or other regulated environments
- Experience designing and implementing B2B integration solutions
- Experience leading migration initiatives across multiple application teams and external vendors
- Experience with enterprise change management and production implementation processes
- Strong troubleshooting skills across application, middleware, and infrastructure layers
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Deliver assigned infrastructure solutions with a focus on stability, security, and automation
- Participate in on-call or operational support rotations as required
- Follow enterprise change management, risk, and compliance processes
- Continuously improve infrastructure reliability and automation maturity
- Demonstrate accountability, attention to detail, and sound engineering judgment
- Grow technical depth and platform knowledge over time, with the opportunity to progress into senior or lead roles
