Job Description/Key Responsibilities:
- SharePoint Administration: Manage and administer SharePoint farms, sites, and site collections. Configure and customize SharePoint components like lists, libraries, web parts, and workflows to support business requirements.
- User Support and Training: Provide end-user support, troubleshooting, and training on SharePoint functionality. Act as a subject matter expert to assist users in maximizing SharePoint capabilities.
- Security and Permissions Management: Implement and manage security policies, permissions, and access controls within SharePoint sites. Ensure compliance with data security standards and best practices.
- Migration and Upgrades: Plan and execute SharePoint migrations and upgrades, including version updates and patch installations. Coordinate with IT teams to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
- Integration with M365 Apps: Integrate SharePoint with other M365 applications such as Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook to enhance collaboration and productivity.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor SharePoint performance and conduct regular system health checks. Identify areas for optimization and implement solutions to improve system efficiency.
- Governance and Best Practices: Develop and enforce SharePoint governance policies and best practices. Ensure consistency, scalability, and reliability of SharePoint solutions.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain SharePoint backup and recovery strategies. Conduct periodic backups and perform recovery procedures as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation of SharePoint configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate reports on system usage, performance metrics, and user activity.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, assess needs, and implement SharePoint solutions that align with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent work experience, in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience/certification acceptable.
- 5+ years proven experience as an M365 operations role, proficient in configuring and customizing and maintaining Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
- Proven experience as a SharePoint Administrator in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite, including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, features, and capabilities.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration tasks.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting SharePoint workflows.
- Familiarity with data security, compliance standards, and governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, MS-300) are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
