Job Summary:
The HR Business Partner will work under minimal supervision to administer corporate policies and procedures as they relate to core HR services, processes and programs as well as facilitate training, salary administration, performance management, and career development. They are a critical leader partnering and their client groups on org optimization, workforce productivity and development, executive engagement, and long-term vision planning.
Essential Functions:
Work with managers, supervisors, and employees to address and resolve all types of employee relations issues, ensuring balance in representing all parties’ interests
Partner with HR Leadership and client group(s) leadership to drive excellence through the organization, develop intellectual capital, and achieve organizational goals
Interpret and counsel others on policies, procedures and programs relating to the human resources of the company
Determine and recommend employee and/or labor relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high-level of employee morale; Consistently maintain favorable and effective relations among employees; accountable for motivating and stimulating supervisors and managers to ensure consistent, equal, and fair treatment of employees
Work collaboratively on teams, and consult effectively and independently with all levels of the organization and within the general HR community
Work with managers, supervisors, and employees to address and resolve all types of employee relations issues, ensuring balance in representing all parties’ interests
Diagnose problems and identify & implement appropriate solutions
Drive education, application, and issues surrounding the Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination Policy Guidelines
Ensure that compliance and HR practices are consistent with business objectives, internal standards and regulatory requirements
Drive the recruitment process for the assigned client base.
Prepare job postings; facilitate interviewing, including conducting interviews, background checks, and offer proposals.
Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-7 years in Human Resource Business Partner work or equivalent Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience working with a union highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of HR processes and practices as it relates to a high growth environment with emphasis in employee retention, employee relations, needs assessments, and recognition/rewards
- Strong ability to multi-task, take initiative, negotiate, and influence thinking and change within the organization
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Outstanding analytical and decision-making skills
- Education/Certification: B.S. or B.A. required— Human Resource Management, Business Management, or related field is preferred
- Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
PHR or SPHR certification
Experience in Health & Safety administration
