The Opportunity
The Senior HSE Systems & Performance Analyst provides senior-level functional ownership for the governance, optimization, implementation, and performance of enterprise HSE systems across IMC Manufacturing, CCM Construction, IMC Service, Corporate, and enterprise HSE initiatives. The role independently translates HSE and operational requirements into scalable workflows, system configurations, data standards, reporting requirements, and process improvements.
This is an HSE business-systems role, not an Information Technology, Business Intelligence, Document Control, or local HSE operations position. The Senior Analyst serves as a primary enterprise functional resource for HammerTech and other assigned systems and is expected to lead complex system improvements, implementations, and cross-functional workstreams.
What you will do?
HSE Systems Governance & Optimization
- Serve as a senior functional subject-matter resource for HammerTech and other assigned enterprise HSE systems.
- Independently evaluate business needs and administer or optimize approved forms, workflows, user roles, permissions, notifications, business rules, and functional settings.
- Lead functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and validation for system enhancements, implementations, integrations, and major configuration changes.
- Coordinate system releases, upgrades, vendor issues, pilots, and approved enhancements with Information Technology, Business Intelligence, system providers, and business stakeholders.
- Identify platform limitations, recurring failures, and governance risks; recommend scalable solutions and escalate material concerns when appropriate.
Data Quality, Performance & Reporting
- Establish and maintain HSE data definitions, ownership assignments, validation rules, business logic, and minimum quality expectations.
- Analyze data completeness, timeliness, consistency, duplication, and accuracy; identify trends and coordinate correction of material gaps.
- Develop and maintain HSE KPI definitions, calculation rules, reporting frequencies, source requirements, assumptions, and known limitations.
- Translate HSE performance needs into functional requirements for dashboards, scorecards, recurring reports, and executive summaries.
- Partner with Business Intelligence and technical teams on reporting development and validate outputs against approved HSE definitions and business requirements.
Workflow Design, Testing & Continuous Improvement
- Lead current- and future-state process mapping for complex or cross-functional HSE workflows.
- Translate operational and HSE requirements into functional requirements for forms, approvals, notifications, permissions, reports, and user guidance.
- Distinguish system, process, data, training, and accountability issues before recommending corrective action or system changes.
- Develop test scenarios and acceptance criteria and lead user acceptance testing for approved system changes.
- Recommend enterprise standardization where practical while accounting for legitimate differences across Manufacturing, Construction, Service, and Corporate environments.
Program Implementation & User Adoption
- Support continued development of the SafeState Operating System and implementation of enterprise HSE programs, including milestones, owners, dependencies, evidence requirements, and overdue actions.
- Lead functional workstreams for system implementations, pilots, migrations, major enhancements, and post-deployment stabilization.
- Monitor system adoption, utilization, workflow completion, recurring errors, data quality, and barriers to sustained use; develop practical improvement strategies.
- Develop or coordinate user guidance, process diagrams, release communications, and concise systems, data-quality, and performance updates for Enterprise HSE leadership.
Cross-Functional Relationships & Ownership Boundaries
The Senior Analyst leads assigned functional work but does not replace the accountability of the following groups:
- Enterprise HSE Programs owns HSE business requirements, workflows, governance expectations, data definitions, system priorities, adoption expectations, and performance needs.
- Information Technology owns technical architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, integrations, identity-management standards, and enterprise technology requirements.
- Business Intelligence owns reporting platforms, data architecture, technical data models, data pipelines, and production dashboard development.
- Document Control owns controlled-document publication, numbering, revision control, retention, archiving, and published repositories.
- Operations and business-unit HSE leaders own local implementation, execution, timely record completion, supervision, and accountability.
Leadership Responsibilities
- This position has no direct reports. The Senior Analyst serves as a senior individual contributor, leads cross-functional workstreams, and provides functional guidance to system users, interns, subject-matter experts, technical partners, vendors, and business-unit representatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, Operations, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in HSE systems, business systems, data analytics, process improvement, system implementation, HSE program support, technology consulting, or related work.
- Demonstrated experience translating business or operational requirements into workflows, system configurations, reporting solutions, or process improvements and supporting implementations, UAT, data validation, or migrations.
- Experience supporting an HSE, quality, risk, compliance, contractor-management, learning, or comparable enterprise business system and working cross-functionally with business users, technical teams, leadership, or vendors.
- Advanced systems thinking and the ability to understand how people, processes, technology, data, responsibilities, and controls interact.
- Ability to independently assess ambiguous business problems, identify root causes, develop options, and recommend practical system or process solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with reporting, analytics, database, or business-intelligence tools.
- Ability to create clear process maps, functional requirements, test scenarios, governance documentation, implementation plans, presentations, and leadership updates.
- Strong attention to data accuracy, definitions, documentation, governance, version control, and follow-through.
- Ability to communicate
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HammerTech, Intelex, Cority, Enablon, VelocityEHS, Sphera, Benchmark Gensuite, or a comparable platform.
- Experience with enterprise system implementation, migration, integration, process mapping, user acceptance testing, data governance, or change adoption.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Microsoft Power Automate, Forms, Monday.com, Egnyte, ServiceNow, SharePoint, or comparable tools.
- Lean Six Sigma, project management, change-management, data analytics, Microsoft, or relevant HSE systems training or certification.
