francesca’s is writing a new story—one of reinvention, relevance, and bold growth. With 410 boutiques in 45 states, a fast-growing e-commerce business, and a powerful brand, we’re building something fresh in the world of accessible fashion. Following some hard but necessary chapters, we’re now on the rise—and we’re calling in strategic thinkers, boundary-pushers, and builders to shape what comes next.
This is a unique opportunity to drive innovation and system excellence at a company in motion. We’re not looking for someone to maintain the status quo, we’re looking for a Workday expert who thrives on building smarter, more scalable processes. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience configuring and optimizing Workday across core modules, including HCM, Security, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Talent, Reporting, and Integrations, and understands how to translate business needs into efficient, user-friendly system solutions. This role is key to ensuring our Workday environment not only runs smoothly but evolves to meet the growing needs of our people and our business.
This position will be based in Houston, TX.
What You’ll Own
- Workday System Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday across all functional areas—providing day-to-day support, answering “how” and “why” questions, and coaching HR partners on best practices.
- Data & Reporting Leadership: Build, audit, and deliver standard and ad-hoc reports that empower HR and business partners with meaningful insights to support strategy and compliance.
- Configuration & Process Optimization: Partner with Stakeholders to test, document, and implement system updates and business process improvements—ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the go-to resource for all things Workday—supporting teams across HR, Payroll, Benefits, and other functions to ensure seamless systems alignment and execution.
- Training & Documentation: Create and deliver clear training materials and process documentation; provide daily guidance and coaching to HR team members and end users.
- System Integrity & Upgrades: Lead audits and participate in all system upgrades, including testing, change management, and documentation to ensure a smooth rollout.
- Project Management & Innovation: Champion continuous improvement by identifying design inefficiencies and implementing solutions that drive system performance and user experience.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of progressive experience in an HR systems role, with at least 3 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience across modules such as HCM, Security, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Talent, Reporting, and Integrations
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of performing root cause analysis and driving solutions
- Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Expert-level Excel skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Clear and confident communicator, comfortable translating technical concepts to non-technical partners
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong confidentiality ethics
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
You’ll Thrive Here If You:
- Love building better systems, solving problems, and making life easier for the team around you
- Are excited by cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement
