About This Role
VacationRenter is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, detail-oriented Growth Marketer - SEM to help scale and optimize our paid search strategy across Google and Bing. In this role, you’ll launch, manage, optimize, and expand SEM campaigns, collaborate across Product, Partnerships, SEO and BI departments and use analytics to drive sustained, profitable growth. This is the perfect role for a hands-on marketer well-versed in customer acquisition, with proven experience and success in managing paid search campaigns.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive paid search expertise and a data-driven mindset, enabling them to analyze performance, identify meaningful trends, and drive efficient campaign growth while achieving target ROI.

This role will report directly to the Head of Growth. This is a full-time hybrid position, based in Dallas.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Execute a performance-driven search marketing strategy across domestic and international markets in English and other languages
  • Manage the existing accounts including campaign, ad group, keyword and ad creative creation and optimization
  • Create, track, analyze, and optimize paid search campaigns in Google Ads, and Bing Ads
  • Proactively look for efficient ways to grow traffic and revenue across paid search campaigns
  • Collect and analyze data from ad engines and internal sources, identify trends in order to achieve maximum ROI
  • Run A/B and multivariate tests to improve conversion rates and performance
  • Assist in identifying potential new markets and launching localized paid search campaigns
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to execute tests focused on conversion rate and revenue optimization
  • Contribute to the development of internal growth marketing tools and automation systems

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of search engine marketing experience (Google, Bing)
  • Previous experience using bulk management tools such as Google Ads Editor and Microsoft Advertising Editor
  • Expert in leveraging platform-specific bidding tools (Google Smart Bidding, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency in spreadsheets (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven marketing, including experience with Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or other analytics platforms
  • Demonstrated experience creating and optimizing successful marketing campaigns 
  • Complex advertising account management experience
  • Strong attention to detail and highly adaptable 
  • Self-starter who will thrive in an ambiguous startup environment
  • Competitive, entrepreneurial mindset

Preferred Qualifications & Prior Experience:

  • Experience working in a high-growth startup environment
  • Background in the travel industry
  • Proven expertise in leveraging advanced AI tools, platforms, and workflows
  • Prior experience working on search experience products
  • Proficiency in campaign translation and localization
  • Experience with marketing attribution modeling
