We are seeking a Senior Global Wholesale Planner to lead and evolve the planning function across our global wholesale and franchise business. This is a highly visible, manager-level role responsible for shaping sales, inventory, and margin strategy across a complex global network of wholesale accounts and franchise partners.

Beyond traditional planning ownership, this role is intentionally designed to be front-facing and commercially strategic. The Senior Global Wholesale Planner will build strong, proactive relationships with key Department Store Planning teams, ensuring early alignment ahead of market cycles and maintaining a constant pulse on sell-out and sell-through performance.

As the dedicated planning lead for Wholesale and Franchise, this role operates with full autonomy while influencing Sales, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, Regional Teams, and external partners. The ideal candidate combines strong luxury sensibility, analytical rigor, and the confidence to represent AMIRI in pre-market, in-season, and executive-level discussions.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

Global Wholesale & Franchise Planning

  • Own seasonal, annual, and long-range sales, inventory, and margin plans across wholesale and franchise channels.
  • Develop detailed plans by region, account, door, and category aligned with financial targets and brand strategy.
  • Support franchise partners with customized forecasts, door productivity analysis, and performance frameworks to enable profitable growth.
  • Play a key role in planning for new franchise openings and market expansion initiatives.• Establish scalable planning tools and best practices as the function evolves.

Department Store Strategic Partnership & Market Leadership

  • Act as a proactive, front-facing strategic partner to Department Store Planning teams globally.
  • Lead pre-market strategy discussions to align on assortment architecture, depth, and growth opportunities.
  • Translate historical sell-out insights into forward-looking buy recommendations ahead of market.
  • Maintain strong visibility on sell-through (ST) and retail sell-out performance at door level.
  • Drive regular performance reviews with key partners to identify risks and unlock reorder and replenishment opportunities.
  • Ensure the Wholesale Department Store (WHS) business is fully maximized through proactive engagement and commercial rigor.

Forecasting, Analysis & Reporting

  • Build and manage forecasts, OTB plans, and inventory flow strategies across wholesale and franchise channels.
  • Analyze sell-in, sell-through, and sell-out metrics across regions and doors.
  • Track KPIs including revenue, margin, WOS, inventory turn, productivity per door, and in-season performance.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting and actionable insights for leadership and partner discussions.

In-Season Management & Optimization

  • Monitor weekly performance and proactively recommend re-forecasts and inventory rebalancing.
  • Partner with Sales and Supply Chain on allocation, replenishment, and stock optimization.
  • Support markdown and exit strategies where appropriate, maintaining a luxury brand mindset.
  • Identify early risks in distribution, depth, or performance and implement corrective action.

Cross-Functional & External Leadership

  • Serve as the planning authority for Wholesale and Franchise channels.
  • Partner closely with Wholesale Sales, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, and Regional teams.
  • Support sell-in, buy reviews, and key account meetings with structured commercial insights.
  • Build strong, trust-based partnerships internally and externally.

Strategic & Post-Season Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive post-season analyses to refine future buys and door strategies.• Identify long-term opportunities to improve profitability, productivity, and scalability across channels.
  • Continuously evolve planning processes to support global growth.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of experience in Wholesale Planning, Merchandise Planning, or Financial Planning within luxury or premium menswear.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex wholesale networks and/or franchise businesses.
  • Strong understanding of luxury brand positioning, controlled distribution, and door productivity.
  • Experience working directly with Department Store partners and Planning teams preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite and Le New Black strongly preferred.
  • Highly autonomous with the ability to own a function end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging senior leadership and external partners.
  • Global or international planning experience preferred.

What We Do

Established in 2014 by Mike Amiri, the luxury menswear and womenswear brand, AMIRI, marries refined craftsmanship with the glamor of LA’s authentic skate and street culture. An LA native, founder Mike Amiri began his career in fashion by handcrafting unique stage pieces for iconic hard rockers such as Axl Rose and Steven Tyler. Eternally intrigued by such dark, heroic figures, his flair for tapping into this rock ‘n’ rock ethos led him to design an exclusive capsule collection for the LA-concept store, Maxfield. Since this debut collection, Mike established a distinct design signature with his deconstructed, hand-embellished denim jeans, leather jackets, grungy flannel shirting and graphic tee-shirts — all grounded in the nostalgic touchstones of his Californian youth. Early styles, like the MX1 jeans and Bandana Buckle boots, remain the pillars of AMIRI today, and the designer’s nascent DIY sensibility has since evolved into a studied and distinct savoir-faire. Today, AMIRI presents a collection bi-annually at Paris Fashion Week and is available from some of the most renowned retailers worldwide, such as Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman in New York, Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Selfridges in London and Joyce in Hong Kong. As its global presence grows, AMIRI remains faithful to its roots: each garment is still a labor of love, cut from the finest fabrics, produced in majority in LA, and often even hand-finessed in-house. More recently, production of leathergoods and tailored suiting moved to Italy. Since 2018, Mike Amiri has been a member of the CFDA. In 2018, he was also nominated for the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent at the CFDA Fashion Awards and honored with the Emerging Talent Award at the Footwear News Achievement Awards. In 2019, Mike was nominated for the Menswear Designer of the Year at the CFDA Fashion Awards.
