CareerMD is seeking a fully remote Senior Frontend Engineer (React) to join our Engineering team. You will own key front end systems and influence architecture, standards, and the roadmap.

You will have hands-on responsibilities for a profitable platform trusted and used by physicians everywhere: shipping new features, modernizing legacy services, and evolving our engineering culture.

The team is responsible for the development, monitoring, maintenance, and evolution of CareerMD’s media software platform for physicians and healthcare organizations.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer you will be responsible for defining problems, shaping solutions, and delivering design docs, high-quality code, and impactful outcomes.

This role will report to CareerMD's Lead Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and fellow developers to solve problems and deliver software for the CareerMD platform
  • Develop new products from scratch and revamp/redesign/improve existing products
  • Proactively suggest improvements to the user experience (UI/UX) as well as improvements to code structure, architecture, development practices, and product features
  • Plan, build, and execute tests for all systems to deliver high quality software
  • Write and maintain technical documentation
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor more junior developers

Qualifications:

  • Proficient with React, Next.js, Typescript, component architecture, and state management
  • Opinionated with product design and from-scratch responsive UI builds
  • Experienced with modern development workflows including Git, GitHub, pull requests, branching strategies, and collaborative code reviews.
  • Able to continuously raise the team’s bar for quality
  • Works well in an agile development environment
  • Proven ability to utilize research and analytics to drive UX improvement
  • Driven continuous learner

Education & Years of Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional web development experience
  • 3+ years React experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Physician recruitment or healthcare industry experience
  • Docker (we use Dokku), Kubernetes, or other containerization(s)
  • Full-stack experience with API (e.g. .NET) and database development
  • Modern collab tools, such as Figma and Miro
  • Headless CMS (we use Contentful)

We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $130,500 -- $252,300 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location. 

CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
