Role Overview:
Powering how global enterprises engage digitally, this role shapes the performance, scalability, and experience of Genesys’ corporate web platform, which supports millions of customer interactions and critical demand generation efforts. You will own the end to end delivery of modern web experiences, influencing architecture, performance, and platform evolution across a highly visible digital ecosystem. You will partner closely with cross functional teams to drive platform modernization, elevate engineering standards, and enable scalable growth across global markets. This role offers strong visibility into enterprise initiatives, exposure to advanced technologies, and opportunities to expand influence across platform strategy and engineering leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver end to end web solutions that improve performance, scalability, and user experience across global digital properties
Build responsive, accessible front end experiences that drive engagement, conversion, and customer satisfaction
Develop and optimize back end services, APIs, and integrations that enable scalable and reliable web functionality
Own platform features throughout their lifecycle, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and production readiness
Drive architectural decisions that enhance system scalability, security, and long term platform evolution
Reduce technical debt through modernization efforts that improve engineering velocity and system performance
Optimize hosting, caching, and content delivery strategies to improve uptime, speed, and global accessibility
Strengthen observability, monitoring, and incident response to ensure operational excellence and rapid issue resolution
Implement secure coding practices and contribute to compliance initiatives that protect customer data and platform integrity
Partner with cross functional stakeholders to align engineering solutions with business goals, customer experience, and growth strategy
Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
5 or more years of professional experience in full stack web development and engineering
Current authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front end development practices
Solid experience in back end development using PHP, Node.js, or similar technologies
Proven experience working with CMS driven architectures, with strong preference for WordPress
Demonstrated experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
Strong understanding of MySQL database design, optimization, and security
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, or enterprise hosting environments
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and release automation
Demonstrated expertise in performance optimization, caching strategies, CDNs, and scalable web architectures
Strong understanding of web security, accessibility standards, and regulatory compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or infrastructure as code
Experience with modern front end frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar
Experience with WordPress development, including theming, plugins, or enterprise implementations
Familiarity with NGINX, caching layers, and advanced performance optimization techniques
Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives in enterprise environments
Background in B2B, SaaS, or complex global digital ecosystems
Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
