Vimeo is looking for a Sr. Frontend Developer to join our AI Applications team. The AI applications team is working as an end to end unit, delivering product solutions from the very beginning of an idea towards the final user experience, where the main expertise is around products that require AI abilities.
You will be responsible for developing, iterating, and maintaining Vimeo's AI based user experiences on a variety of destinations on the Vimeo platform. You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team of Product engineers, AI researchers, data scientists and Machine learning (ML) Engineers, you will work with the most recent AI tools and abilities in the industry, and will take a key role in shaping how those will make an impact on vimeo customers.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our Design and Product teams to move projects from conception to launch, then iterate and test new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for front-end features, and actively participate in code reviews and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team with Front-End, Back-End, and AI developers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of front-end features.
- Grow technically and professionally in a collaborative and inclusive environment with opportunities to learn and share with others.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of technical experience working on consumer-facing products
- Experience with the React framework and a solid understanding of JavaScript, CSS
- A strong eye for product design and interactivity, and unwavering attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to work on the server side when necessary
- Experience working with Restful APIs
- An understanding of basic performance optimization for web applications
- Able to communicate and collaborate respectfully and effectively with both technical and non-technical teams

- Familiarity with Back-End development (PHP, Python)
- Experience with video services
- Passion for AI applications
