About the Team/Role
We’re looking for a mid-level software engineer with strong front-end expertise and full-stack exposure to join our NAM Experiences team. You’ll help craft intuitive, performant web applications that integrate with our backend services and deliver seamless customer experiences that enhance the customer experience. These platforms allow large fleets and transportation companies to issue and manage credit for their drivers and operators—powering everything from digital spend controls to real-time transaction insights. You’ll focus on building robust and responsive user interfaces that help fleet managers configure controls, view reports, and streamline daily operations.
How you’ll make an impact:
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance front end UI.
Build and maintain shared component libraries and design-system assets that serve multiple Mobility applications.
Work with senior engineers to co-develop systems designs, and drive alignment with other engineers.
Write automated unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests, concurrency tests, load/performance tests.
Work with tech leads and senior engineers to identify bottlenecks, outline tech debt, and implement incremental scalability, and stability improvements.
Implement automation frameworks for testing, monitoring, auto-scaling, continuous integration and deployment to reduce time to market
Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define and implement new features.
Conduct code reviews (comment, approve, seek revisions, merge), and actively learn engineering best practices.
Dive deep and troubleshoot complex issues, devise fixes, author root cause analysis documents, and ensure lasting performance and reliability.
Maintain documentation (design docs, run books, change management docs, and readiness plans)
Provide live-site support for production applications by monitoring systems, ensuring rapid incident resolution, and driving continuous improvement.
Gain hands-on experience with automation and AI-driven solutions.
Experience you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
5-8 years of professional experience in software engineering.
Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks; e.g. Angular (preferred), React.
Strong skills in web scripting languages; e.g. TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, or CSS3/SASS.
Experience in consuming and testing RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and creating frameworks to automate test cases through CI/CD workflows. Github exposure preferred.
Expertise in web security fundamentals (authentication, authorization, and data protection).
Familiarity with Git, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD workflows.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a focus on user experience and maintainability.
Demonstrated ability to create and implement design documents for complex system requirements.
Professional written and verbal communication skills, and a collaborative and empathetic mindset.
Mentorship of junior engineers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
8 years of experience in software engineering
Exposure to backend technologies; e.g. Java(preferred), Node.js or Go.
Experience with cloud-native environments; e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS/GCP/Azure.
Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases; e.g. SQL, MongoDB..
Experience working with design systems, accessibility (WCAG), and performance optimization at scale.
