Position Summary
The Senior FP&A Manager plays a critical p role within SCIEX China’s finance organization, responsible for end-to-end forecast and budget cycle, financial analytics, and business partnership across commercial and functional teams. This role works closely with the Finance Director to execute major financial initiatives, enhance operational efficiency, and support sustainable business growth in China. This position requires strong analytical acumen, cross-functional influence, and the ability to deliver actionable insights in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning, Forecasting and Performance Management
- Lead the full planning cycle, including monthly forecasts, annual budget, and working capital outlook.
- Consolidate China P&L submissions and prepare management reporting packages
- Drive alignment with China platform, regional and global stakeholders, ensuring China submissions meet deadlines and quality requirements.
- Build and enhance forecast models reflecting market trends, macro factors, and business assumptions.
- Apply rigorous, fact-based analysis to challenge inputs, ensuring accuracy and credibility of projections.
- Provide monthly performance insights on revenue, margin, OPEX, profitability, working capital and key KPIs (e.g., CVDs, Bowler).
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, including CVDs, Bowler etc. to improve transparency and decision-making
- Drive simplification standardization, and automation across FP&A processes, reporting, and tools
- Strengthen data governance and reporting accuracy and consistency.
- Support Finance Director to drive major financial initiatives including but not limited to margin improvement, OPEX productivity, strategic investments, and continuous improvement/Kaizen activities
- Ad hoc reporting requirements
2. Business Partnering
- Act as a strategic finance partner to Commercial, Marketing, Service, SCIEX China Leadership Team, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Provide forward‑looking analysis, scenario modeling, and actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Support pricing strategy, discount governance, promotion evaluation, and sales performance analytics
- Partner with HR on annual incentive financial validation
- Deliver analytical support for strategic initiatives, new business opportunities, and transformation projects
- Deliver in-depth financial models to support strategic decisions, new business opportunities, pricing, and investment cases.
- Contribute to long‑term strategic planning processes.
- Deliver timely, high-quality ad hoc analysis for China Leadership, Platform, and Global teams
- Collaborate with Controllership team to enhance compliance, internal controls, and process effectiveness (including but not limited to RR and Credit control)
- Support system enhancements (e.g. Oracle, HFM/OneStream, Power Automates) to enable better reporting and analysis
- Ad hoc business requests
3. Leadership
- Provide guidance on analysis quality, stakeholder communication, and prioritization.
- Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA, or CMA preferred.
- 10+ years of FP&A, business finance, or strategy experience in multinational or fast‑paced environments.
- Proven experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and Power BI proficiency.
- Experience in ERP/planning systems (Oracle, HFM, OneStream).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
- Strong business acumen, problem-solving ability, and perform under pressure.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English.
