Overview

The Senior FP&A Analyst plays a key role in the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical functions, delivering the models, reporting, and insights that support leadership decisions across revenue, clinical operations, and corporate strategy.

This role will build and maintain financial models, support the budgeting and forecasting cycle, partner with Sales, Clinical Operations, and other business functions to provide analytical support, and help strengthen the company's reporting and planning processes as Uprise Health continues to grow and evolve. The ideal candidate combines strong technical financial modeling and analytical skills with the communication ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Annual Salary $110K -$120K per year (dependent on experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Own key components of the annual budgeting process and ongoing rolling forecasts across departments and business lines.
  • Build and maintain integrated financial models covering revenue, headcount, opex, and capital planning.
  • Partner with department leaders to compile and validate accurate, well-supported budget inputs.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying and explaining variances, and developing recommendations to address material variances and emerging risks.
  • Assist in developing long-range strategic and financial planning models to support multi-year growth targets.

Management & Executive Reporting

  • Prepare and enhance monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for leadership and as needed, the Board of Directors.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and KPI reporting covering revenue, bookings, retention, margin, and operating metrics.
  • Develop clear, insight-driven analysis of business performance, trends, and risks for leadership review.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure alignment between actuals, forecasts, and management reporting.

Business Partnering & Decision Support

  • Act as an FP&A business partner to Sales, Account Management, Clinical, and Operations teams.
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis to support pricing strategy, deal economics, and contract negotiations by line of business, market, and segment.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of new products, partnerships, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis for strategic initiatives, M&A evaluation and integration planning, and investor or lender reporting requests.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable summaries for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses to support resource allocation and investment decisions.

Revenue, Margin & Unit Economics Analysis

  • Analyze revenue trends, client profitability, and unit economics across EAP, behavioral health, and wellbeing product lines.
  • Partner with Sales to model pipeline conversion, deal sizing, and net new bookings impact on the forecast.
  • Track and report on key SaaS and healthcare services metrics, including ARR, net revenue retention, and CAC/LTV where applicable.
  • Identify and help quantify margin improvement opportunities and cost efficiency initiatives.

Process Improvement & Systems Support

  • Support standardization of planning calendars, templates, and reporting cadences across the organization.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems, planning tools, and reporting automation. Including implementation/integration of new systems as required.
  • Help ensure data integrity and consistency across financial planning tools, CRM, and accounting systems.
  • May mentor junior analysts and support onboarding of new team members as the function grows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Accounting, Sales Operations, HR, and Clinical Operations to align financial data across systems.
  • Support GTM team with internal and external commission and bonus tracking and reporting
  • Support annual audit and external reporting processes with accurate forecasts, budgets, and supporting analysis.
  • Assist leadership with capital planning, resource allocation, and investment prioritization analysis.

Essential Education & Experience

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • MBA, CFA, CPA, or other relevant advanced degree/certification preferred.

Experience:

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or a related analytical role.
  • Demonstrated track record supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, benefits, or healthcare technology preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including experience with multi-scenario and driver-based models.
  • Experience preparing financial analysis and reporting materials for leadership review.
  • Advanced Excel/financial modeling proficiency and experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline-linked forecasting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-growth, private equity-backed, or venture-backed healthcare services or SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with EAP, behavioral health, or employee benefits business models and unit economics.
  • Proficiency with financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Vena), ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite), and BI/reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience working in a scaling finance function during a period of rapid organizational growth.

Travel Requirements

  • Minimal travel required (up to 5%) for occasional team meetings, planning offsites, or company events.

Key Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • Forecast Accuracy: Drive continuous improvement in revenue and opex forecast accuracy through rigorous variance analysis and refinement of underlying assumptions.
  • Reporting Timeliness: Deliver monthly reporting package inputs within 5 business days of month-end close.
  • Budget Cycle Delivery: Complete assigned annual budget and long-range plan deliverables on schedule.
  • Business Partnering: Deliver timely, decision-ready analysis supporting pricing, deal, and strategic initiative reviews.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to measurable reduction in manual reporting effort through tool and process improvements.
