Responsibilities
- Support cloud cost allocation, anomaly detection, and optimization analysis across Azure environments, translating usage data into actionable financial insights
- Build and maintain automated reports and dashboards to improve FinOps visibility across cost, margin, and utilization metrics for internal stakeholders
- Leverage AI and machine learning techniques to enhance anomaly detection, forecast cloud spend, and identify cost optimization opportunities at scale
- Analyze cognitive product margins and contribute to gross margin improvement initiatives through data-driven recommendations
- Maintain the software asset inventory, ensuring accurate tracking of licenses, entitlements, and consumption across the organization
- Manage the third-party software renewal calendar, coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective renewals
- Identify and prototype AI-powered automation opportunities within FinOps and SAM workflows — including contract analysis, license reconciliation, and spend alerting
- Partner with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and IT teams to support both cloud optimization strategies and software contract management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, cloud cost management, software asset management, or a related role
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience with Python is a plus
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools — experience applying them to financial analysis, anomaly detection, or automation workflows is a strong plus
- Hands-on experience with Azure cost management tools, Databricks, or Power BI is preferred
- Understanding of software licensing models — including SaaS, subscription, consumption-based, and perpetual structures
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to present findings clearly to finance and non-finance audiences
- Experience in enterprise SaaS, cloud technology, or supply chain industry is a plus
