PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $134,200.00-$164,000.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $104,200.00 - $194,000.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE

As a Sr Financial Consultant at BECU, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic financial insights and decision-making for the Portfolio Governance Committee (PGC). Your expertise will empower leaders with actionable analysis, support the development of investment business cases, and enhance the tracking of benefits realization for key initiatives. By collaborating across diverse teams, you’ll help shape BECU’s project portfolio strategy, enabling the organization to achieve its financial goals and strategic objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Strategic Financial Partnership: Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the Portfolio Governance Committee and key business areas, providing expert guidance on financial business cases, analytics, and strategic initiatives.
  • Insightful Analysis: Deliver actionable financial reports and insights, identifying trends, key metrics, and drivers that support strategic decision-making and performance evaluation.
  • Business Case Evaluation: Collaborate with business unit leaders to assess and refine project business cases, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial goals.
  • Portfolio Budget Support: Lead the development and management of the annual project portfolio budget and provide support for periodic financial updates.
  • Post-Implementation Tracking: Monitor and assess the ongoing value and benefits realization of strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with intended goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Enterprise Strategic Portfolio Management, and Project Delivery teams to design new processes, methods, and financial strategies.
  • Financial Modeling: Create and maintain multi-year financial models, forecasts, and schedules to guide strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Ad-Hoc Analyses: Lead the development of ad-hoc analyses to explore new initiatives and provide strategic insights for executive leadership.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Stay informed on generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance and integration into strategic analysis.
  • Effective Communication: Foster collaboration and maintain clear communication across all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and information sharing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Strive for ongoing quality enhancement in processes, analytics, and services provided to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Take on additional duties as assigned to support the success of the team and organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 7 years of related functional experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and flow-charting tools required, with the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address complex challenges.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, exercising discretion and sound judgment in decision-making and resolving issues

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Financial Institution preferred.
