Job Description

The Sr. Financial Analyst LATAM will be responsible for supporting accounting operations across the LATAM region, with primary focus on Brazil. This role will manage reporting under US GAAP and multi-currency, ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations, and maintain strong internal controls (SOX). The analyst will interact with regional and global teams, participate in internal and external audits, and ensure the integrity and reliability of financial information.

What Your Impact Will Be

  • Prepare, review, and consolidate accounting reports under US GAAP and multi-currency, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and deadlines.
  • Support accounting processes for Brazil and LATAM, including month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
  • Actively participate in monthly SOX controls and support annual external audits by providing required documentation and evidence.
  • Prepare and submit accounting documentation for ECD and ECF reporting, ensuring compliance with Brazilian regulations.
  • Collaborate with finance, controllership, and audit teams, promoting effective communication with both regional and global stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements by identifying and implementing more effective and innovative solutions for accounting and reporting.
  • Utilize Oracle ERP for accounting processes and perform financial analysis and controls using advanced Excel.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture, demonstrating proactivity, creativity, and teamwork in solving challenges.

 

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (mandatory).
  • Non-Graduate Active CRC license required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in multinational companies.
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP reporting and Brazilian local accounting.
  • Proven experience with SOX controls and external audits.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate/advanced Excel.
  • Knowledge of Brazilian accounting regulations, including ECD and ECF.
  • Strong understanding of multi-currency accounting.
  • Desired exposure to regional LATAM processes.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant - CPA Ontario
