Senior Financial Analyst – Sales

About this role:
Gartner is looking for a well-rounded Senior Financial Analyst who can provide critical business partner support to our Sales team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting Sales with respect to budgeting, forecasting, financial management, reporting, analysis, and mission critical priorities. Collaboration and teamwork will be key as you’ll work with individuals across many different business units.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare timely and accurate value-added financial analysis using our various systems to give senior management the critical insights necessary to make proper business decisions
  • Clearly articulate results and variances to FP&A leadership in the monthly results meetings
  • Produce financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts
  • Partner with various teams (Accounting, Operations, HR, Recruiting, People Analytics, etc.) to improve our data quality
  • Leverage technology and process improvements to drive continuous innovation and quicker turnaround times
  • Assist in knowledge transfer to new and/or other analysts

What you'll need: 

  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance required. Major in Accounting, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related area preferred
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, business analytics, financial reporting, or accounting
  • Superior financial modeling and data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of PBCS, PowerBI and US GAAP is a plus
  • Effective communication skills and a capacity to distill complex concepts into actionable information
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, time management skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • The ability to work independently and with a global, cross functional team to consistently deliver flawless work solutions within aggressive (and changing) time constraints

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 79,000 USD - 109,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
