Senior Financial Analyst
Summary of Position
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in the BetterHelp Commercial Finance team, driving data-informed decision-making that balances revenue growth with profitability. This is achieved through insightful analysis, financial modeling, KPI reporting, forecasting, and financial business partnering
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the BetterHelp leadership team across all business functions and with Finance counterparts at Teladoc, our parent company. The ideal candidate is a proactive, highly motivated self-starter with a background in Commercial Finance or Strategic Planning at a tech/D2C company, or experience in consulting or investment banking
Essential Duties
- Customer acquisition planning and analysis: Collaborate with the Data Science team to forecast subscriber growth (and the relevant drivers); analyze trends and forecast variances; identify and quantify opportunities and risks. Plan and optimize customer. acquisition costs relative to customer lifetime value, enhancing marketing spend efficiency
- Revenue planning and analysis: Quantify impact of pricing, FX, and product diversification on ARPU and total revenue, providing actionable insights to drive incremental revenue growth.
- Business casing: Model the impact of new business initiatives, such as international expansion or product innovations; identify key growth levers; establish a metrics and reporting framework to track post-launch performance.
- Executive presentations: Prepare and participate in presentations for BetterHelp and Teladoc senior leadership. Translate data and insights into compelling, executive-ready narratives that drive decisions.
- Finance infrastructure: Collaborate with Data Science & Financial Engineering to enhance and expand our automated reporting and forecasting systems.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in financial, analytical, or strategic roles within a tech/D2C company, consulting, or investment banking
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets, with strong skills in MS PowerPoint and/or Google Slides.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related quantitative field is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Highly skilled in analyzing large data sets and deriving meaningful insights through advanced quantitative methods.
- Strategic Mindset: Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly understand and identify key growth levers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at distilling complex concepts into clear, actionable insights.
- A collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with business and finance counterparts.
- Experience with BI systems (Looker) and ERP systems (Oracle).
- An MBA or another advanced degree.
The base salary range for this position is $105,000-$110,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
