Meet the Team:
The APAC Commercial Finance team is a vital co-pilot to the Commercial Teams across 6 markets (Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong) in the region, through provision of data-driven financial insights, comprehensive decision support, timely and accurate forecasts, and prudent business controlling, thereby ensuring attainment of Dexcom’s Revenue, Cost and Profit goals for the Region. As Senior Finance Analyst, you will support the Sr. Manager Finance - APAC Commercial in advising Commercial Teams on matters impacting Pricing and Revenue.
Where You Come In
Pricing
- You will establish a comprehensive knowledge base of pricing across APAC, capturing current pricing and discounting levels, competitor offerings, and market access environments.
- You will establish and own the Price Change process across APAC, striking a balance between harmonization with global best practice and accommodation of vital country-level intricacies. In this process, you will also ensure seamless linkage with the Global Executive Pricing Committee.
- You will be the primary finance partner of the regional/country commercial teams during price negotiations with major customers (i.e., Distributors) and stakeholders (specifically, APAC governments in tenders), providing financial modelling and decision support.
- You will partner with the regional and commercial teams in designing a pricing roadmap vis-à-vis their proposed product portfolio, for the purpose of LRP and Annual Planning, and aid them in aligning such with Global Commercial Leadership (CCO, VP Commercial Finance, Other Execs).
- You will be responsible for financial modelling of New Product Roll-outs in APAC, as well as other non-BAU Commercial initiatives that may be assigned from time-to-time.
Revenue
- You will partner with the Commercial Forecasting and Analytics Team in ensuring Revenue forecasts are financially-sound, realistic, yet challenging in their attainment, during the following planning runs: 3x quarterly forecasts, 5-year long-range planning, annual business planning. This includes: 1.) aligning improvements to the Market Model, or harmonization with Global Best Practice on Revenue Forecasting, 2.) flagging risks and opportunities to the desired baseline forecasts.
- On a need basis, you will assist the APAC Controllership team in resolving significant month-end closing issues related to pricing, rebates/discounting and revenue recognition.
- You will own detailed region-wide Revenue and Gross Profit analyses and commentary for the Monthly Business Reviews. This would include maintenance and improvement of standard reporting packages that provide relevant and compelling insights to Global Commercial Finance, Country Commercial Teams, and the In-Country Commercial Finance Business Partners (Sr. Analysts).
- You will explore opportunities to automate, visualize and harmonize Revenue reporting across the APAC markets. You are expected to project-manage the implementation of these initiatives by leveraging on functional expertise of relevant Philippines GBS teams (IT, Business Intelligence, etc.).
- You will establish semi-monthly or quarterly pricing and revenue deep dives with Commercial Leads (APAC GM and his/her Sr./Director-level reports), pinpointing issues and highlighting opportunities.
- You will engage and collaborate with the wider Global Pricing Community in the US and EMEA Regions to uncover best practices, process improvements and new analysis tools.
What Makes You Successful
You have a demonstrated experience in:
- providing comprehensive variance analyses/causes of change vs. forecast and prior year for Revenue and Gross Profit;
- resolving accounting and business issues related to revenue and gross profit;
- forecasting revenue and gross profit;
- building ad-hoc financial models, in varying degrees of granularity and complexity;
- presenting and communicating complex financial topics to Senior Management;
- advanced-level usage of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint)
You may further stand out if:
- the experiences you have gathered above were gained from multinational FMCG, Pharmaceutical, and/or Medical Device Companies at a Senior Analyst level;
- you have experience working with Oracle EPM/Hyperion
- you have experience on Data Dashboarding/Visualization (Tableau, etc.)

Experience And Education Requirements
A Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration/Management and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance
