Sr Financial Analyst
Job Description
General Function: Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyses, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Essential Duties Responsibilities: At this level - Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this position. * Responsible for P L accuracy; ensure financial transactions are accurate, timely and comply with accounting standards, principles and company policy. * Identifies, researches and prepares evaluations on a variety of complex and diverse projects/problems (financial, statistical, operational cost/benefit analyses). * Develops financial models, collects and evaluates data, makes appropriate assumptions, analyzes results and makes recommendations. * Designs and produces analyses/reports for regional management. * Works to improve data quality and collection processes and report design to meet diverse and changing needs for management reporting. * Provides policy guidance and recommends new or modified policies to reflect changing business needs or new accounting pronouncements. * Provides ongoing user education and management consulting on the use and interpretation of analyses, reports, methodologies and source data. * Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with other departments and individuals who are resources for supplying data. * Provides assistance on technical matters and acts as a significant information resource. FP A Financial Analyst will additionally: * Maintain and distribute the weekly forecast * Maintain and distribute the monthly backlog report * Act as the Finance liaison for Services and Staffing * Assist with monthly, quarterly, and/or annual closing procedures. * Work with sales, legal, finance, and various other internal groups to maintain adherence to accounting guidelines.
