The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the reporting of HomeServices consolidated financial statements as well as the monthly accounting and analysis and annual budget preparation for the HomeServices parent company. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for working directly with the Shared Success Center’s finance staff to ensure timely and accurate consolidation and reporting to Berkshire Hathaway Energy (BHE). The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for preparation of financial reporting packages and other ad hoc reporting and analysis for internal management and external uses.
Provides Support to the Following Positions
Corporate Controller, CFO, CEO, Corporate Finance staff, the regional operating companies CFOs and finance staff and BHE
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
- Consolidate and analyze monthly financial statements related to HomeServices and manage month-end closing process with regional operating companies. (25%)
- Prepare monthly reporting packages with appropriate analysis as needed by management and BHE. (25%)
- Prepare and analyze monthly journal entries related to HomeServices parent, including inter-company transactions. Responsible for working directly with the regional operating companies to ensure inter-company activity is appropriately accounted for. (15%)
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements related to HomeServices parent. (10%)
- Reconcile and analyze all balance sheet accounts monthly for HomeServices. (10%)
- Support quarterly and annual external reporting and audit. (5%)
- Support consolidation of long-range plans and current year forecasts for HomeServices. (5%)
- Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (5%)

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3 – 5 years of accounting experience. Specifically, a minimum of 2 years of financial statement consolidation and preparation experience. Experience with OneStream software is a plus.
- Strong computer skills required including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams/CoPilot, and SharePoint.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Desire and ability to initiate process and system improvements.
- Ability to work independently; resourceful and action-oriented.
- Must possess strong organizational skills, including workload prioritization and project management.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- CPA not required but preferred.
Wage: $99,000 - $117,000 annually; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for annual discretionary bonus.
