    Purpose of Job:

    The Sr Financial Analyst will be a key partner to the Finance and Supply Chain teams in the execution of the annual operating plan, forecast, and financial reporting and analysis.  This role will partner with the Transportation team in reporting the financial performance and variance analysis for inbound and outbound freight across the supply chain network.  

    Job Components:

    • Provide timely and accurate periodic reporting of actual performance versus forecast and prior year.
    • Support the month-end close for freight cost in partnership with accounting.
    • Collaborate with Finance and Supply Chain teams and leaders to present insightful explanations of variances and recommendations on risks and opportunities to the plan and/or forecasts.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for optimization and performance improvement. Develop Key Performance Indicators to track results that will inform key decision-makers and continually improve process outcomes.
    • Develop and update budgets and forecasts related to sourcing initiatives.
    • Develop robust business models, complex financial analysis, and valuation assessments.
    • Prepare periodic executive-level financial summaries on results, budgets/forecasts, and risks/opportunities.
    • Identify risks and opportunities to freight costs.
    • Own project deliverables, timeline, and success criteria, collaborating with stakeholders throughout the organization.
    • Generate other ad hoc analyses, as requested.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferred areas of study include Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, and Economics.
    • 4+ years of relevant work experience.
    • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision, but also capable of working in a team environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
    • Experience with SAP and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is desirable.
    • Experience with Power BI and working with large data sets is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, theory and terminology including fundamentals of consolidation.
    • Understanding of law, statistics, and general management as it relates to accounting.

    Work Environment:

    • Combination work from office/work from home.
    • Travel up to 5%, if any.
    • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
