POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst reports to the Vice President, FP&A US Food and is based out of our Boardman, Ohio location. This role serves as a key strategic business partner to commercial, operational, and finance leaders and is responsible for providing senior-level insights into monthly, quarterly, and annual results; facilitating forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning; and translating financial and operational data into clear recommendations that support profitable growth and sound business decisions.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with commercial and business leaders to evaluate performance, identify growth opportunities, and support customer, product, pricing, promotion, channel, and margin decisions.
  • Provide senior-level analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, including clear explanations of key revenue, volume, mix, margin, cost, and profitability drivers.
  • Prepare executive-ready reporting, variance analysis, management commentary, and presentations that translate complex financial information into actionable business insights.
  • Facilitate the quarterly forecast, annual budget, and long-range planning processes, coordinating assumptions, timelines, inputs, reviews, and consolidation across business functions.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, strategic planning, customer and product profitability, return on investment, and business cases.
  • Identify risks and opportunities relative to plan and forecast, communicate potential impacts, and recommend practical actions to improve performance.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions to connect financial outcomes with commercial and operational performance.
  • Support the Food Division with strategic initiatives, leadership reviews, growth opportunities, cost optimization, productivity, and other ad hoc analyses.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Five plus (5+) years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, accounting, or a related analytical role.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling, data validation, and analysis of large datasets.

• Experience with ERP, financial planning, reporting, and business intelligence applications.

• Demonstrated ability to interpret financial and operational results, identify key business drivers, and communicate clear recommendations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support financial and non-financial stakeholders.

• Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver accurate work with limited supervision.

• Strong attention to detail, disciplined self-review, sound judgment, and a consistent record of ownership and follow-through.

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food or beverage manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, distribution, or a related industry.

• Experience supporting commercial teams and analyzing customer, product, pricing, promotion, channel, and margin performance.

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including exposure to operational cost drivers, supply chain, and productivity analysis.

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, data visualization, or comparable analytical tools.

• MBA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant advanced degree or professional certification.

• Continuous improvement orientation with demonstrated success improving planning, reporting, modeling, or analytical processes.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.

 

FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.

 

OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.

 

VISION: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.

 

HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
