The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting McCain Foods Global Manufacturing Operations (GMO) with analysis relating to Manufacturing Sustainable Cost Advantage (SCA - cost saving initiatives), Budget and Total Delivered Cost (TDC - cost of production and logistics).
The Finance Analyst will have strong business analysis, accounting, and organizational skills. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to compiling financial data, performing financial analysis, and provide sufficient periodic information for planning and decision making that reduces McCain Foods TDC. This position will have regular interaction with other personnel in the corporate and regional finance groups, as well as individuals in GMO and PMO leadership teams.
What you'll be doing.
  • Work with our SCA partners to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of TDC SCA - for Manufacturing workstream by region.
  • Creates/implements/performs various financial analyses including, but not limited to manufacturing cost curve, inflation trends, mix drivers, pricing and usage.
  • Implement and support the global roll-out of new methodologies to drive SCA, including the development of templates, policies, and training programs to enable regional manufacturing and finance teams to adopt standardized global formats
  • Maintain Global TDC reporting and analysis monthly vs. forecast by region, make value-added insights, and prepare ad hoc analyses as requested.
  • Remain current with the latest Business Intelligence (BI) tools and reporting - help develop digital/visual dashboard and scorecards for key TDC and GMO metrics.
  • Using the product costing tool, assist with the development of reporting, benchmarking, and analysis which will form cost improvement plans and strategies.
  • Role helps compare McCain manufacturing costs to competitor financials (benchmarking).
  • Stays current on market conditions and key commodities inflation.

Reporting and Analysis
  • Serve as the lead analyst in supporting the financial needs (budgeting, accruals, and G&A analysis) for the GMO & Total Operations & Growth leadership team.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with global costing (and inventory) policy.
  • Analyze monthly TDC to tie back to the SCA savings claimed - to identify cost trends by region and provide insight or rationale on regions with unfavorable TDC.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of Accounting, Finance.
  • Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office and Power BI.
  • MBA and/or CPA preferred.

Experience:
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in financial analysis, financial planning, accounting, and/or manufacturing cost management is required.
  • Prior experience working with leadership teams, tight deadlines and demonstrated responsibility for accuracy and timeliness for work performed.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
  • Experience with CPG or other food manufacturing companies strongly preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to manage responsibilities proactively.
  • Ability to analyze financial data quickly and make decisions based on findings.
  • Identify/implement process improvement.
  • Strong PC skills including MS PowerPoint and MS Excel

Compensation Package : $81,600.00 - $108,900.00 CAD annually + bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
