We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (Analytics & Actuarial Services) to join our team at Independent Living Systems (ILS). ILS, along with its affiliated health plans known as Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, is committed to promoting a higher quality of life and maximizing independence for all vulnerable populations.

About the Role:

The Senior Financial Analyst (Analytics & Actuarial Services) plays a critical role in driving data-driven financial decision-making within the organization. This position is responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support operational and strategic initiatives. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights that enhance organizational performance. The Senior Financial Analyst will also monitor key financial metrics, identify trends, and provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation and cost management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the healthcare or social assistance industry.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial software systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Professional actuarial credentials (e.g., ASA, ACAS, or equivalent)..

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, analyze, and interpret financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support management decision-making.
  • Collaborate with all company departments to gather claims, financial, and other data and understand operational impacts.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Prepare detailed financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate potential investments, cost-saving initiatives, and strategic projects.
  • Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders to influence business strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and periodic financial reviews with comprehensive data analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within financial reporting and analysis.

Skills Required
