Position Overview
We are looking for a trusted Senior Finance Business Partner (FBP) to join the Technical Advisory (TA) Finance team at Autodesk. Technical Advisory is Autodesk's global team of consultants primarily focused on Enterprise customers that want to adopt, integrate, and derive value from their investment in Autodesk technologies and services at their organization. This position reports directly to the Sr. Manager for Technical Advisory Finance. This person will be the primary business partner to the Senior Director of Technical Advisory in APAC.
This Finance Business Partner role will be a key strategic partner for the APAC Technical Advisory (Consulting) organization. They will collaborate with multiple levels of the organization to derive qualitative insights as well as quantitative analysis to guide business decisions. The FBP will primarily engage with APAC time zone business partners in Australia, Japan, Korea, and India, with less frequent interaction with Autodesk staff located in North America and European time zones.
The right candidate for this role will demonstrate strong collaboration skills, financial aptitude, independent thinking, excellent business intuition, and the capability to provide advice. This candidate must effectively partner with business leaders yet still adhere to his/her fiduciary duties as a member of the finance organization.
Responsibilities
Manage the APAC Technical Advisory revenue and bookings forecast for complex consulting arrangements
Provide accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and spend forecasts for our APAC Technical Advisory business
Identify and escalate potential financial risks through regular review of key performance metrics and reports (spend analysis, billable hours, utilization, etc.)
Recommend and implement process improvements to achieve better results
Follow standards and ensure compliance with company policies
Provide strategic and tactical support on annual capacity planning and budgeting cycle
Analyze contractual consulting backlog to provide insights for future consulting delivery
Investigate the relationship of consulting and product adoption for Autodesk's Enterprise customers
Perform ad-hoc analyses to help business partners understand the financial ramifications of decisions
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred; MBA or CPA equivalent, preferred
Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience with finance or business analysis background
Prior experience in a technology/software/SaaS company
Experience with forecasting and financial analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of finance functional areas, including revenue accounting and compliance
Reliable team player with leadership skills who can manage projects and work collaboratively with team members
Proficient understanding of business drivers to connect quantitative results to the "why" behind the numbers
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with audience-appropriate level of detail
Business knowledge and intuition needed for proactive partnership with stakeholders across the company
Ability to maintain high quality standards in a complex environment while managing tight deadlines
Highly motivated approach to problem solving and ability to learn quickly
