About the role .
The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will play a critical role in managing the financial performance of the North America's largest capital initiatives while also providing a consolidated, enterprise-wide view of the corporate capital portfolio. This role leads the forecasting and performance tracking of major initiatives and produces key financial metrics, such as blended IRR, to assess overall portfolio returns. As the key business partner to Engineering, this individual will collaborate closely on project planning, prioritization and investment decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate complex capital data into clear, actional insights for senior leadership, while supporting ad hoc analyses related to capital investment decisions.
What you'll be doing .
  • Lead the end-to-end financial reporting for major North America capital projects; including budget development, quarterly forecasting, actuals tracking, variance analyses, asset closures and postmortems.
  • Consolidate total North America capital project spend and calculate blended IRR of portfolio.
  • Prepare and present capital performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Act as the financial business partner to the Engineering team, providing guidance on capital planning, prioritization and financial impacts.
  • Partner with plant teams to develop multi-year capital plans aligned with strategic vision and optimized returns.
  • Provide support and financial analyses on ad-hoc projects as determined by current business needs.
  • Champion continuous improvement by improving process documentation and implementing automation solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.

What you'll need to be successful .
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting - CPA or MBA a plus.
  • 3+ years of progressive and related experience in corporate finance, FP&A, capital planning or investment analysis.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused and concise manner.
  • Solid understanding of capital project accounting, including IRR methodology and other financial performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills with impeccable attention to detail.

Compensation Package : $81,600.00 - $108,900.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
